Just to add to what has been said previously. HGI looks to multiple indicators to generate its signals. Many of these have long look back periods on higher timeframes. As a result, HGI can't be used for visual backtesting AT ALL. The MA's are based on the D1 Stochastic and not HGI and are "set" at the close of each day. But while that might lead you to think that you can look back at the charts because they won't change, that 's not the case. They are set at the point where the price closed at the end of the day. If you were actually trading on that day, price may have been very volatile and the MA's may have given trend changes on the day that are no longer shown on the "set" picture because they weren't like that at the close of the day. ALL multi-timeframe indicators have this same issue. It's not an problem with the indicator - you would have the same issue if you looked at the higher timeframe charts yourself manually every hour. Look at the daily candle from yesterday and see if you can tell where price was at 9 in the morning.... you can't and neither can the indicators.

When using multiple timeframes, you have to trade with the best information you have to hand at that moment.

Hi Guys,

An example of a sell trade just taken on GbpUsd. The blue and magenta lines have crossed over and I have an Hgi sell arrow. In this case super slope doing a cross over.

I take it on the chin here :arrrg: . Gu initially showed promise of a down move . I closed at 35 pips minus profit with the move going against me
