The download must have corrupted because all it did was make my Empty4 crash. I will download a fresh copy and try to set up again.

Sometimes you have to load a file into your platform's code editor and do a compile before an ea/indi/script will run. This is especially so after a platform update.

Putting it simply the greatest challenge in Forex trading is to correctly identify trending and ranging periods.

Some of us who have been with Bob for the last three years know this for a fact. Indeed NB systems prior to 10 were counter trend / range systems and we made a lot of pips trading those systems. The only thing which was killing the profits were long persistent trending periods without any sizeable retraces. With a bit of practice and experience we limited our losses during trends and still came out in positive territory overall. Mind you what made so many of us give up on those systems (and Bob`s subsequent development of NB 10) was the demoralizing effect of seeing a sizeable chunk of the profits for the year disappear in a relatively short period of time.

Now BOB has kindly given us 10.2, an all round system with tools to identify trending and ranging periods and instructions to trade them accordingly. We are making a lot of pips with this system, STEVE`s EAs are making a lot of pips also. As you know STEVE keeps reminding us that any EA is as good as the system it is based on. This week I tried 10.2 on a new pair which I had no prior knowledge of (USDRUB) and make a healthy profit. I know these are days to make a judgement and we have to see how the manual and automated trading preforms when the markets change but IMHO if any system is profitable during these turbulent times it will also be profitable when we have the return of some degree of normalcy. Moreover, IMHO FOREX market will expand in the years to come. We may lose the EURO but we will gain DM, French Frank, Italian Lire, and the new boys on the scene, RUSSIA, INDIA, BRAZIL to name a few and the biggest to come yet will be the Chinese YUAN.

Which brings me back to my question in the subject heading "Has BOB found the Holy Grail???"

Astral, surely you realise that the forex gods can detect the use of the HG words. They will immediately curse any system/method/approach associated with them? Suddenly, the system/method/approach which until that moment resembled a supermodel in a see-through thong will start to look like my grandma. Also in a see-through thong....

dang guys quick being so pessimistic. The HG for me was trading small enough so no move in the market could kill me. Once I got that down I could be profitable. The second step was clearly identifying the different market moves. Then the final step was judging how strong/not strong those moves are. You should begin to feel that no matter which direction the market moves or what a broker does you can adapt quickly because you now know it is happening. So your feeling now should be, let them try I am ready to adjust.

Well reading the response to my earlier post I was having apocalyptic images of forex hell falshing in my mind, thinking of how I could close the Pandoras box that I had unintentionally opened. : THEN BOB CAME TO THE RESCUE (as always) .

You do not have to be a mind reader to know that with a screen name of Astral 77 (for 7 heavens and 7 seas) I am a bit of superstitious person and during my brief period of trading Forex I have incurred the wrath of the Gods of Forex on a number of occassions. I can assure you that I have learnt my lesson and will never upset the Gods of Forex (unintentionally or otherwise). That is why I was very careful with my choice of words. I said "Has BOB found the HG ?" in a question format.

NB. I DID NOT state "Bob has found the HG"

In case you are in touch with the above mentioned deities, I would be eternally grateful if you could be kind enough to bring this fact to their attention, so there is no misunderstanding.

Having cleared that up (so I hope), my intention was to encourage people to think of what flaws and weak points this system has and if any could be found. Maybe it is too early to think about this and we should wait and see.
