Sorry Joe, I missed this one...you may be right about getting in, but using the weekly histogram provides extra confirmation of the trend direction.
If the WOH is signalling a different direction to the Slope, than obviously some sort of reversal is occurring, so I would not take the trade.

Also, I just want to mention, that it has only happened a couple of times that the basket has reached the global closure within an hour or 2.

There have been days where is has taken 4 - 6 hrs, overnight (my time) and also a couple of days when trades have remained open for more than 24 hrs.
In all of these cases though, the slope signal has remained +/- 0.8 so I have always let the trades continue to run.

A few days ago I did a test on 9 currencies with the TMA principle and with this same indicator. It was in timeframe H4 and during 2 days. The results were not so good. Trades were openend and then closed again, depending on TMA>0.8 or TMA<0.8 and v.v. for shorts. So, a trade was opened and then for example 4 hours later closed for a big pip loss because the trend had changed. No basket approach was done.
Probably, the method is better applicable in timeframe D1 because that is a stronger indication than H4. Also, the basket approach is more helpful than individual currency approaches.

I've just downloaded the EA from post 1 to update my demo, but it doesn't appear to have the new basket pips be/sl thingy!

Has anyone else downloaded the EA and it has these functions?

Hi Kelisa,

Just drag another copy of the ea onto your chart and reset the properties that way.

b) 10.2 TMA slope v.1.4B 4.30 for EA.mq4 : to indicator folder
c) NB 10.2 TMA Slope Display v0.3.mq4 :to indicator folder

Post 1 mentions only 2 files, but actually you need these 3.

I'm having the same problem. Sometimes hitting F7 opens the properties window fine, but most times not. I'm running Empty4 build 419. I usually have to remove EA and then re-attach to get back to the properties window.

Good point - for some reason I just assumed that was the case, but you're right, it would make them more of an "A trade".

It would be naive to think that the above pattern is repeatable. The market is trending at the moment. There will be periods when it will move sideways.

You still have an issue there - notice your slope indicator has all pairs as ranging and you have no status after each pair on the EA display. I suggest, if it didn't trigger, that you put the 10.2 TMA slope v.1.4B 4.30 for EA.mq4 indi on your chart and not the standard one. I thought you only needed it in the folder but if you have both in the indi folder and you have restarted Empty4 then this is all I can suggest.
