I think a BARF is forming, have started loading up shorts. ( I think it may have a bit higher to go before topping )

Many times, there is a stop hunt between L2 and L3...never count it as a level... L3 will have familiar topping actions..."M", etc.....santos » Sun Oct 25, 2015 7:41 pm wrote:USDCAD, what im seeing. 3rd push reached.
SH id usually just a retrace and up to L3

Hey man,WhoKnows » Sat Oct 24, 2015 12:41 pm wrote:Hi ZumZum,
Your trade (previous page fourth post) worked out very good, but what were your rules to enter?
I assume you assessed price to be at L1, but how did you come to the conclusion it was indeed at L1 and price would likely continue down, instead of again bouncing up like the days before.
I saw that Support might have become Resistance, but as the GBPUSD had been in a tight range over the last 6 days I myself could not make sense of any 'level counting'. So I passed on the trade.
PS I marked my H4 levels on a compressed H1 chart.
It was a second push down:
Expect the third down today.

Hi John,
AUDCHF: A-B-C topping out a BARF ?
AUDJPY: blind on this one [ can only see an a-b-c forming ]

Thanks for your insight CJ and dudest, can you tell me where my thinking went wrong? I was seeing tracks on the 3rd push on that 4HR chart to get in on the 15min TF, did i do this wrong? Thanks ZumZum. My question was apparently not clear.
In hindsight it is easy to see that L1 was just finished with push L2 expected to go down. But you saw it already before the L2 push started.
I often find it very difficult to see if price is going stay in a range, or will leave the range, and start the trending move.
So how did you see that this time it was the 'real L1' that went down, and not again just another down-leg within the range, to be followed by another up-leg within the range (just as happened 3 times).
Or in other words... how did you see at the time that price was not going to follow the Yellow line?
Was it the price action on a lower time frame?
Just trying to learn from better 'foreseers' to prevent range-exit mistakes I made in the past...
