Willem I don't disagree with your comments, but we know this EA is profitable and I'm sure Andy's innovative idea to link two EA's will solve the drawdown issue, but what i was trying to address is that people have been reporting issues with drawdown or getting taken out by stoplosses. The biggest error most retail traders make is to keep moving a stoploss when a trade moves against them due to news that is designed to do just that...take out your stop loss. Its always that argument of cut a trade early and let your profits run, and i'm sure most traders do the opposite. I use Wyckoff principles, and its very easy to see this footprint day after day.. If you have a trade thats 100pips in profit and you know that a major announcement is coming form a central bank then you would take your profit, as you're risking 100pips vs a possible XXX pips (upside vs downside risk) more if the news goes in your favour...I personally do not use this kind of strategy as part of my 'trading plan' when trading live. You can also argue that the news is a 50/50 risk as like you say if the news goes in your favour you make more pips, but you have to be happy with the drawdown / stops hit if the news is against your open position. The point i'm trying to make is if you can avoid drawdown, turning a winning trade into a losing trade and possible getting back in at a lower or higher price that is something that might be worth consider.. Anyway just my thoughts as i like to think as a news filter as being beneficial if used to work in your favour...and having the ability to turn a feature on/off allows the user to decide what kind or risk they want to adopt...that's the great thing about EA's I'm sure you will agree that there's nothing worse than sitting in-front of your screen watching red pips in your live account! Hi Jason, We could add a news filter later, I just want to get the EA running with no bugs. The only thing I won't do and that's change the entry strategy, I read somewhere that Bobs dumped the AO, but using it is profitable so I'm keeping it. Best Regards Andy |

Andy I agree with you...I'm sure there will be time to refine any rough edges in the future, if they still exist. I think your 2 x EA route is a great idea.. Jason |

I opened a 25K demo on Wednesday night, and it is now 28555K, using that method. |

Andy... That's good to hear.. Actually 2.01has done 10% since its release, on my demo account, and i've not had any issues with CPU usage that some have reported. Jason |

10% excellent, you just need to trade the EA and not wait for big pay day's, that never arrive. The CPU thing, I never get a problem either. Andy |

Andy.. Yes, you're right on that one..I think one thing that we don sometimes is judge a strategy / profitability after a few days, where sometimes a strategy can go through periods of stagnation, drawdown etc. I've been reading quite a few books recently about investing strategies for bot forex & stocks, but this one is a good read if not already been read.. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Evaluation-Opti ... 298&sr=1-1 Jason |

Wow! Hope I can see how you did it before the weekend! I'm afraid I'll have to buy a new test machine ... my old single core 1.5 GB RAM possibly won't do ... Jürgen |

Running 2.01b stock-standard apart from the cpu-usages fixes on a few demos. Still haven't had any of the bounce-backs that people are talking about. The JPY pairs surging today has helped, but not nearly enough to make up for the damage on Monday... ![]() Makes me feel like I'm missing the party somehow |

They've closed now, except for a lagging GBPJPY. The result is what you see in the image above, hardly worth writing home about. I'm only mentioning it so that people who didn't experience the shock DD don't assume its all wine & roses with the EA and do something silly like trading it on a large live account. Its not ready for that just yet. |
