Well, you can consider that fact that I said it "usually" does.... Who controls price during each of the 3 levels and why would a SH occur after L2?? Back to the basics again....

Possibly?? These are not what you would call "normal" chart patterns... they are intentionally distorted to make it harder to do just what you are trying to do, and it works. Filter the noise.... Levels are usually meaningful drops or rises followed by a retrace....

What would the chart look like with the added ranging distortion removed from the chart pattern... it would look like a more normal chart...

Hi Captain,

I'm curious to know what makes you think that price is already at the very peak low..If it was me,I would be expecting 2 more small pushes to the low...And if I look to the left there isn't any 'structure' there...Hope you can shed some light on this captain as this is where I usually failed in identifying the peak low..Is it something related to volume or some kind of slow price movement that tells you this is the exhaustion point.?

Exactly! A lot of information that's needed is overlooked in this thread because of it's length... but you're just tossing money out the door by not reading it all...

You are correct on your assumption of what to expect next. When you can identify the levels and the pushes, which you all should be trying to do, then you can step in and take a trade anywhere in the cycle and be confident in it's outcome.

When you are starting out, I preach to trade ONLY from the Peak High or the Peak Low... because then at least you are going in the right direction.

Everybody comes here in search of the holy grail of price prediction and matching patterns, but in reality we can't even see the pattern that Sympathy follows each and every day, the pattern of placing a trade at a turn point, be it a simply a retrace, a level or a PH or PL.... the same trades are placed each and every day and yet no one sees this pattern. Yet countless people are searching for hours on end looking for chart patterns so they know what price is going to do next.

Why do we take such a simple process and FUBAR it to the max??

Understand that with the SH between levels 2 and 3, always, that you may not have 3 pushes between L2 and L3...

I might state again... which I say a lot here, that a SH to rising prices runs to the high, drops to the low and then GOES! They hit em high and hit them low, and then GO!

SH to falling price is the opposite... lows are hit, then the high of the SH and then it DIES! Hit em low, hit em high and watch it DIE!

Two more repetitive patterns that are overlooked daily, in search of the holy grail....

You just saw a double stop hunt to rising prices...hit it high twice and and hit it low twice...now whats going to happen??

You see the SH as the L3 and it's not... there is no topping "M" pattern in place yet...

I've finished the series of documents that was linked 15 pages or so.. Now i'm just reading the whole thread in reverse order
CJ said we don't post enough failed charts here so I'm hoping we can have some constructive learning for the newbies!
