I tested it in Tradestation. As a first-order approximation I didn't bother with the SL -- I'm not convinced it would help anyway. (Of course you'd need a SL in actual live trading, but I don't think it would change the backtest results that much.) Result: not much. Most pairs averaged between 0 and 2 pips per trade, before costs. Some (like GBPAUD) lost big. The JPY pairs (except NZDJPY) did well, averaging 2-10 pips per trade. It might be worth looking into for the JPY pairs, but other than that it's junk. |
