Description:
This ea will only work for one currency with a working setfile.

Working Symbols:
  • EURUSD
  • GBPUSD
  • UCAD
Comments:
The 1st forwardtest was successful and the 2nd is on the way.
I also setup a live account for confirmation.

All results can be seen on myfxbook (->signature).

STRUCTURE OF EA:

ENTRY-POINTS defined by:
  • Bears and Bulls-Indicator
  • ema-Short & ema-Long
  • WPR
EXIT-POINTS defined by:
  • actual price crosses Moving Average (exponential)
STRATEGY:
  • Only the 1st trade is triggered by EMA, after that the next trades are triggered only by Bulls & Bears.
BASICS FOR TRIGGERING TRADES:
Legend:
dummy = variable from setfile

  • Bulls-Value > 0
  • Bears-Value > 0
  • EMA1 > EMA2
  • WPR > x && WPR < y

SERIOUS WARNING
  • Most Forex traders lose all their money.

Tonight I made another version-jump to 1.02, I will upload it later with the according working setfile.

After digging through some robots here, I decided to change some functions in my robot e.g. exchange the complete OrderSend-Section with code from Steve and Matthew Kennel - thanks for that great work.

I hope I will have a working Version 1.03 next week. :)

Banzak, i had some very good trades today, 5 in total, 5 winners, (2 got stopped out) may i ask if all is okay and if i should stop the testing until you have the EA ready?

i'm working on getting a link done to FXBOOK using their other methods, so please be patient while i figure whats wrong with my demos.

Cuz, sure it's perfect. This EA also did this trades on my demo account, but I'm not yet satisfied with the basket and there is no hard S/L at all. I will implement the OrderLibrary from Matthew and parts of Steves logic in my EA.
I got also a good idea for the closing-strategy and i'm very curious about the results.

Thank you for your efforts! This community here is what I was looking for. :)

Hi Banzak, glad you like Steves forum, some really smart guys here.

FWIW, when i first joined here Steve was very vocal about this guy Nanningbob and subtly pointed members towards 10..something at the time. I didnt know who he was and as i started reading TIB's (The Incredible Bob) notes, posts and booklets, he mentioned somewhere along the way that he did not like to trade with SL's. Verey dabatable and shocking to a newbie like me. Thats the day i stopped losing or blowing my accounts. The method suits me much better and i prefer it to this day. It was a short sentence and not much behind it to explain, but it hit home hard. Just learning not to overtrade was/is the issue.

I wait for whatever trend to change if i went the wrong way. Patience , learning to fish. I like the idea behind Bulls and Bears, i like the SL as it is right now, so if you plan to put one in, please allow a 'TIB - cuzgeorge' option to keep the damn SL's off. :lol: :lol: :lol:

Hi cuz, my idea is to put optional a S/L for the first trade only, this is the critical point in this strategy.
Today I also got an idea for a closing-strategy of the basket, to get more profit. for example today the basket should have been closed much later - something about 22:00 or later and I think i found a way to do so.. let's see for the bt-results...

the ea you see is my knowledge from the last 3 years and i'm still learning new things every day.. :)
my problem before was that I had no chance to discuss about my problems with the MTcrap-language and the 1001 workarounds, so i feel comfortable here at Steves forum. It's my first time to take a look at others style of coding and new ideas, when I again got stuck. Or find somebody like you who is helping me to develop and test the ea. I appreciate much your effort doing backtest or forward test, so I have time to care about what I'm good in - coding. :)
