Here's a perfect reason why you shouldn't place orders 3&4 against the MAs! Magenta line was the entry and hit the sar on the nose for 20 pips. Blue line is H4 MA Red is H1 |

This was an interesting trade. Didn't quite make it all the way on the first attempt and a large retracement, but it got there in the end. I wasn't actually using the order 4 trail at this stage so I made it all the way to target 4 around 40pips as my stop was at breakeven. That said even with the order 4 trail, my stop would have been pretty much at the 1.309 line for around 30 pips. |

This is a good example of some failures. I've marked the entry and exits of each attempt. Sticking to the order strategy and the MA filter, all the trades apart from the last trade that actually broke the SAR would have only had orders 1&2 open (as H1,H4 mas were against us). As you can see all the failed attempts still hit target 1 and would have trailed and closed order 2 at BE or above. |

Honouring the MAs keeps us out of trouble again. No extended 3&4 orders here, but orders 1 & 2 come home nicely. Also on the flip side less than an hour after, price was off in the opposite direction and we had yet another trade. This time it made it to the 1.309 line too and a cool 45 pips |

Nice one FS, im going to try this in a simplified manner, however, I will just do close all at TP2. The R:R is slightly under 1:1 from the screenshot i've seen so far, but the winrate should cover it. So basically, almost all retrace to the 82 fib will continue to retrace back to the sar. When you say TP2 is the sar itself, you mean the signal sar, right ? BTW what's the purpose of the trend sar ? On some screenshots you seem to take trades in the way of the trendsar, on some other, against the trend sar. I might have read your post to quickly .... |

I've been testing a few things out and it looks like it could be improved by removing tp2 altogether and just letting it close on the trail at tp1. Then if you are just trading orders 1&2 and starting out you'll still have a good chance of hitting some more pips if you get a nice bolt in price. If you are trading all 4 you'll just end up with more profit on the table. As per the trade below, my stop is already bing dragged down. It went on to get me an extra 4 pips past the tp2 target. |

so basically, in case of a long setup, - you close order_1 at TP1 - when order_2 reach TP2, you start trailing it by x pips (x= TP2-TP1) I get it right ? |
