Hi All,

I want to open a small live account to test systems etc but I only want to trade pennies on it. Who would you reccoment for a nano / penny account?

Hello, maybe Alpari Uk or MB Trading UK ? I can't really remember the minimum they allow.

I have had a micro account with FXOpen for almost a year that I use for testing EA's and such with no problems so far. Pretty sure it can be opened with a very small amount..

If you have other accounts with them you can transfer money between accounts online very easily as well..

  • easy to open demo account
    mini lots
    micro lots
    let you use the comment field
    let you use magic numbers
    Half decent spread (I trade 1 hour and above so not such a big deal but lower spread = savings)

Thanks, I'm looking at Cowboy IBFX and FXCM now. I spent the day looking around at brokers, there are some crappy set-ups out there!

I was with MF Global, there Canadian office - so I'm looking for Canadian regulated as well, since I actually received my entire 8K back from my MF Global account.

UPDATE: Tradestation aquired Cowboy IBFX and they do not accept Candians any longer. F'em.

Cowboy IBFX if you are in the U.S. is the best if you want to trade pennies, I use them for my testing account in live mode and have had no problems. I know they where acquired by Tradestation so I am hoping they do not change many things for american users.

open an acc at "Masterforex" it is a Centbroker. They do all the same calkulation like all other brokers but it is based in Cent not in $. So each investment is only 100th part of a $ invest

Or use"InstaForex". You can open an acc like at "Masterforex" or choose a Micro-Dollar account. They are calkulating a Market Lot with 10.000$ only, not with 100.000$ as usual. So if you invest o.o1 Lot of such a mini Maret Lot you also are investiong only Cent instede of $. Plus they provide a huge leverage of up to 1000.
(and they are paying its not a scam) :D

If you are american resident and want to follow your countrylows choose a mimi acc at Cowboy IBFX as suggested before and only invest 0.01 Lot per position.

both have minimum 1000 base currency which is mini lot..
But thank you for pointing me to MBT UK. I was with them for a while and my impression is that they are far the best and honest Empty4 broker.. Now they are in UK allowing hedge and 1:100 leverage. I keep an eye on them..
