I have additional "sound" indicator, from my own production. I am focused on rangebar charts. Therefore I needed some set of alerts to let me go away from the computer and not to miss any important event. The indi talks (in clear English) if a new bar appears, if an order has been issued, filled or closed and if a trendline or horizontal line has been touched. I cannot include sounds directly, as there are some copyright issues, so the indicator downloads them first time the DLLs are enabled. Downloads them from the internet? or are they contained inside the dll? Is the mq4 available? |

Hello, Brian, yes, only sound files are downloaded from the internet and stored in the sounds folder of the terminal. There is no DLL needed for the indicator to run, once the sounds get downloaded. I do not want to share the URL because of that silly copyright requirements for the synthetic speech output. |

Good questions AB I was wondering the same things. Also, since I'm a Renko trader it would be nice to have alerts for "Reversal Bars" also. In the end though, it doesn't make much difference if your using the playsound() function because a lot of alerts will get cut off because Empty4 can only play one alert at a time. I found this out the hard way after I had a custom indy coded for me (Paid for it and yes people actually still pay coders to code and not beg in forums LOL) that plays alerts for new bars in the same direction as the previous bar and plays a different alert for "Reversal Bars". Both alerts can be turned on and off with externs and I have extern lists to choose which wav's to play for each alert on each market. I recorded my own voice saying the pairs name for each new bar in the same direction alert. Then for a reversal bar I recorded reversal bar and the pairs name. For example, "Reversal EuroYen". It doesn't take long to figure out what's going on when you here euro yen euro yen euro yen Canadian yen Euro yen. Only problem is when the markets really get moving most of these alerts get cut off. But it looks like CockeyedCowboy over on FF in http://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=405949 might have a solution. He's currently trying to finish a program that will use computer generated voices to give alerts and they won't cut each other off and you can give certain alerts priority over others, make them louder and many other features. I'm waiting on him to release this to get away from Empty4 based alerts. Keep an eye on that thread this could get very interesting! I think if it works as good as advertised it would be an awesome addition to Empty4! Peace, SatchFan |

Satch, you got the point, you know exactly how it works. So I keep backing up the event queue to the Print() command for easy check what the hell was that sound before the last one... The indi is nothing revolutionary, I just felt a need to trade something for the knowledge I was getting here. |
