Lifesys made a great contribution by adding risk-based lot sizes here: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 439#p49439 For NanningBob 10.4 perhaps we could restrict a fixed risk of x percent for the trade series of that pair, and calculate the new lot sizes for scaling in based on the current sum of SL for that pair (SL may have been moved for trailing or to BE)? |

Murphyman & Bubo, how is this script going? I am using v1.4 by Lifesys and it seems to delete pendings literally moments before they trigger. I'm not sure why its doing it. I had the MPTM EA applied which I have now taken off (deleted it from Empty4). Are you able to offer any advice? |

cj, I am using lifesys' script all day long w/o any issue.... The only reason why a pending orders "is removed" could be that you either have insufficient margin or you have an EA running that has an equity protection feature and does not open new orders if margin level is below x%... In any case, it does not delete them but is unable to convert the pending order into an actual order and thus should generate an entry in the log.... Could you pls check... Ok thanks, apologies, will do. I'll check it out. Another question - I can't seem to get the Script to work on the 10.4 template at all. I stick all the settings in but when I hit 'go' it doesn't put any pendings on. I have 3 Empty4 sessions running and i can successfully run the script on two of these but not the one that I use for 10.4 Any ideas? |

Interesting that this rates a special thread. An earlier version of EasyScalingScript was posted on CJ thread. Originally based on tigpips but entirely rewritten. Renamed EasyScalingScript in that, as well as manual drag StartPrice settings, you can use sangmanes brilliant EasyOrder system. Start EasyOrder Script, select type of order, it drops StartPrice (green), TP(blue) & SL(red) lines on the chart. Start EasyScalingScript & it recognises & uses these values. This means you can change relative TP & SL for every order simply by drag a line. Total Vol. size for a certain SL now accurately reflects % of Account if set, and log, linear & fixed scaling can be selected. Please don't expect this to work on penny orders (0.01 vol) or where StartPrice is too close to Ask - your data source will have a minimum distance. There is a NoTradeDebug mode, which shows values & lines but no actual trade, so you can find out what you are doing wrong. |

I had the Easy Order script running beautifully but it no longer seems to work now. When I drag it onto a chart it doesn't even appear as that small window. I have tried everything i can think of but it doesn't seem to help - deleted the files from script and libraries folder and then stuck original copies in. Nothing. I also had the Scaling Script working but this has gone balls too. I don't have any other scripts, EA's etc working. Any ideas would be appreciated. |
