Actually, I wouldn't be terribly surprised if he DID mean risking 1/10th of his capital. Traders were pretty wild and undisciplined in those days, compared to our standards now. Think of the stories of Jesse Livermore. He was constantly betting big and doubling down. Of course, he also went broke several times... |
