Stats Tool to Know better real broker activities..

Hi ,

here is a little tool "one shot", that I'd tinkered, transforming quickly a lambda tool 's graph that I've found to serve me.

It show you, for each pair, the total ticks' transaction on the 12 last monthes ( month(1) to month(12) ) ,from the moment you put in on the creen.
Stop' level if there is, spread, an broker server.( it is write in million of tick by month)

I have done this quickly so, there is two indic , one for broker with Symbol without suffix name, one with suffixe. As it was to serve few, time to time, I don't pass time on this, so the code is horrible.

As you can see, we can find some interesting information as somme big volume difference between two pairs , surprise by big spread, or stop level ( telling you that it is not an ECN..) and so on.
It is possible to recognize too that if a broker is a white label of another ( volume are exactly the same, but all the cost are really more expensive..)

I give in the zip file arround 30 broker screen shot as exemple, this has arround one years age old... but it is to show you.

I think, thats help to know better our broker, or why not, take one broker to trade one pair and another one to trade another pair..

I add two the Global Prime Stat of this month ( we'ld have to see the others one today to be able to compare the volume..) . the result are good for Global, with no stop level , correct spread and volume.

yes, I thought too haha,

just a word forgotten.

To have the one year tick history date addition, of course you have to load all the pairs on the console,

so right click on the left market window, show all.

And then, you have to wait, depend of your speed connection, 15 mn or more to get them fullyloaded.

if you don't have all the monthes with results, wait the data, and exit and reopen the console.

can you kindly state which brokers are good or bad based on your analysis? do not understand how to use the data to determine that.

do you think that adding 2 more columns is doable ?
should be interesting to get the min & max spread (based on the timeframe)
and other good info to grab : the average spread for each H1 (0 -> 24)

Hi,

So, it's not a miracle tools of course, just to put a little light inside the black world of our broker .

How use it,

- when you see the same ticks'quantities between two screen's brokers, you are able to say that one is a white label of the other ( the one with big spread), so more expensive and more delay

- if you see stop value level > 0 , you know that it is not an ECN
- like in a super market, they often say " Eurusd" spread begin, 0,2.. it is perhaps a light to the butterfly .. what about the other, and how do they evolve when it is full traffic hour ?
you have all of them under your eyes like this.
that give you in fact, the "spirit" of your boker, is it totally clean and right or does he tries to manipulate you.

- when you see 96 Millions of tick on EURCHF, you are able to think that some are covering themselves against probable "turbulence" in forex market..
- and last, you can see a big difference of quantity between symbols, depending of the country of some brokers.

so if you have a broker with 90 Millions of tick on a Symbols, and if you like work with this symbol, it is easy to think that the liquidity if biggest that 20 Millions..., so perhaps open an account for a pair to a broker, and for another pair ,another broker, and so, dispatch a little your money too..

But, if you see this result in a "Demo Account", you must first, for the stop level by example, ask to the broker if the data base is the same on a "reel account", and if all the type of account ( standard, pro etc..) ask for a stop level, or same spread.

It was just my curiosity..

Well, ahah clean coding, not really, it is kid school code.., I work on array 4 D now, like this, this code would run with 50 lines only not as much as now.
Well, all is possible but as the results will be so differents and not coherent , I don't really see the benefict and I really don't get time to do this, like I said, this code must be rewrite..
But, I had transformed another one at this period, it'll give you nearly what you thought , in best I think.

It is a graph "statistic" giving you the average of the lowest, hightest and the best volatility of the pair during last X Week, by Hour, H4 or Day. ( meanning, the bests progresses in "pips" term, kind of km/hour..)

Just put in on a black graph, modify extern in propriety : what stat you want,
- run during each hour, each 4h , or 1 Days
- average on how much week : 10, 5 , 3 lasts ?
- adapt the broker time to get your good hour label ( you can see 0 to 23h )

on the sample screenshot GBPUSD, you can see that generally, the best "run" of this pair are "353" pips at 8 AM and 14 h.

To change Symbol, as usual, just put another symbol on the graph.

For example, if you see that EURCHF run, on its maximum, at 150 pips/hour and that GBPJPY à 615 pips /hour, perhaps you could think that you prefer not immobilize your capital to get 80 pips for the best ( 150 - spread - com..) ?

And if you see that à 23h, this pair run max at 230 pips, perhaps, you could wait better impulse before start your trade.

there three levels on each hour bar :

average ot the low volatility, average of the hight , and the hightest for each hour bar.

Just slidding the curseur on it to get the level info

Hi Scanner, I am a bit of a newbie and I am trying to use this tool to test Excel Markets.
I have looked at the analysis of other brokers.. which was really helpful.
Could you please give a step-by-step description of how to go about that using your software; or kindly point me to resources that do. I tried on my own, but was highly unsuccessful.

I know that GP is the best broker, but unfortunately they don't offer CAD accounts, so I am stuck with crims..

May I ask you, or any other fellow trader here in the forum who has more programming knowledge than I have, please, to "upgrade" the "volatility stat hour mq4" indi into such version, which is ready to use in newer version of Empty4(after build 600).
Your help much appriciated.
