Docuong's almost at 8000% now (!) Though I'm actually more impressed by No. 2, DetCenter. With only 34 trades (compared to Ducuong's 193), & two pairs, he's seriously holding down the fort! |

Even if it blows up every few days the trader could easily withdraw weekly as losing $50,000 5 times in a row doesn't seem so bad when a winning week= $4,000,000. |

These demo contests even though fun to play are not real trading... Yes you can play extremely over leverage and show huge profits but I would like to see that done with a real trading account on a regular basis... People do try to trade like that... I have an business acquaintance that in the past has open 150k retail accounts(50-1 leverage) and will trade with max leverage whenever possible.... I actually saw him wipe out that account within 15 minutes... What I would like to see done for the contests are two things... Make them with a real account i.e. microlots and winner who has largest realize profit with the least amount of floating and then actual drawdown wins. That would be more of a real contest... Since it would be with real money have the prizes larger with less constraints for the winners. Alas, these contests are more of a pure marketing ploy to get clients in the door.... In the real trading floor 20% average monthly profit if repeatable with low DD would make you a millionaire very quickly... |

Hi Phil, Basically I have found that price reflects all influences from the market whether it is short or long-term. Many of these influences cause an effect that many times can be observe as a visual pattern on many timeframes. Some patterns are reflected in the monthly charts and some can be seen all the way down to the tick level. Depending on my trading strategy I will look for patterns to help increase the success of a particular trade or trades. There are types, Spatial-Temporal and Anomaly patterns that I look for. I look at each currency pair as a data stream and apply both patterns. At the moment I do that manually which takes a lot time as I am looking at so many time-frames so I like to stick with a few familiar currencies... My goal is get an Algorithm to process this for me and leave the trading decision up to me... |
