Hello fellow traders,

I have been using Steve`s PTT semi-auto robot for trading for some time now and I have discovered, that much more simple version would be more suitable for my trading.

What it does basically is that it allows to set the short trade on low or long trade on high of Inside Bar(IB) if created during the day at the end of the day, second before the next day candle is created. Stoploss is set on 30pips and target profit can be set too. When stoploss is hit, trade is repeatidly set with the same parametres. If price moves in the right direction Candlestick trailing stop moves stoploss on either low or high of previous day, depends if trade is short or long. It also includes many other filters that I do not use.

I would like to simplify this semi-auto robot in a way that the trade could be set on any kind of candle and not only automatically at the end of the day, but also "manually" using the robot while the price range is still within the limits of previous bar. And get rid of the other filters in the process.

Since I am not very familiar with programming, would someone of coders here be so kind and have a look at that, at least to estimate how much work is needed. Thanks a lot.

We can't actually program something without rules. It looks like you want to be able to place a trade whenever you are within the previous day's candle and have MPTM manage the trade. I'm certain there are indicators that show the previous day's High/Low on the chart and there have already been order entry scripts posted somewhere in the forum.

Instead of speaking in terms of modifying PTT, I'd recommend restating your strategy completely. I'd recommend using this template: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... ?f=12&t=80 We may be able to automate the logic you are using to initiate the manual trades you mention.

Yes actually you are right. I`d like to use the same system of PTT robot just appliable on different candle patterns(with different SL and TP), that could be set all the time within the range of previous candle.
I am sure I`d find scripts that you mentioned, just not sure if there would be a function of repeating orders on the same level and candle stick trailing stop, but I`ll look for it.

Concerning my current strategy this PTT robot is ok, that is a longer term strategy(couple days usually).

The CandleStick Trailing stop is available in MPTM (http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... ?f=21&t=64), Steve's Multi-Purpose Trade Management EA.
