Hi, I am glad to joint as a new member to this forum. If anyone need to export the history data from Empty4 to csv files and then using that csv files to update Amibroker database then I hope these below attachment files will help a little bit. I use DDE plugin to get the running market data of Empty4 and monitoring them at Amibroker but this script will fill the past data from Empty4's history folder to Amibroker. There are two steps; 1) Export data from Empty4 history folder to csv file. Compile eXport.mq4 script and using it by drag and drop to each open charts at Empty4. Make sure the timeframe is what you want. You will get the exported csv files at folder : C:\Program Files\Empty4 4\experts\files\ 2) Import data from csv file to Amibroker. I use 3 files to do that : a) mt4eXp_Empty4 4.js - Copy this file to folder C:\Windows\ b) mt4eXp.txt - Copy this file to folder C:\Program Files\Amibroker\Format\ and rename the file from mt4eXp.txt to mt4eXp.format c) UpdateAB.mq4 - Compile UpdateAB.mq4 script The above 3 files will update Amibroker database with conditions : - This javascript only update the files you mentioned at mt4eXp_Empty4 4.js. There are 3 currencies as example. Please open this file using Notepad and make sure that you have the right folder for your Empty4 history folder at your computer. Edit this file with the correct one. - If you want to add another currency then you can add the lines with the currency name that you want by edit this javascript using Notepad. - Make sure that you have exported the history data from Empty4 using step 1 with the currency that you want to update to Amibroker. - Also make sure that you have the same setting time frame between Amibroker's database setting and the exported csv files. - Before you update the Amibroker database make sure that you have open Amibroker. ==> To make update : Double click UpdateAB script. I cannot combine these 2 steps with one script and hope there will be help from members to give us simpler solution. Thank you Steve for allowing me to joint to this forum. |

Where were you a year ago when I was thinking of connecting the two programs? lol Thanks for this, great contribution. Next time I get the urge to join Ami and Empty4 I'll come here and grab these files. Ami is better for writing robots with the exception of order management - I was doing it with Ami and Interactive Brokers but the order connections was clunking and not trustworthy. Empty4 manages that part better. |

Hello IMS, Thanks for the Empty4 to Amibroker script. It worked on older Empty4 version 509. But, stopped working on latest Empty4 builds. Can you pls tell me how to make it work on latest Empty4 builds. Thanks, |
