Post subject:  Backtesting
After winning "dimwit" title, I realized this is the only place to post questions about EA's.

1- Why some EA's won't backtest in Empty4? [e.g. BASA]? I downloaded all history data to my platform but it just won't backtest!!

Empty4 Backtester could not manage multi-pairs

Thank you Mr Phil for answering.

But I guess that the mentioned EA [BASA] is not a multi-pairs bot!

I don't want to miss the chance of you being here, so another question: how do I operate an EA that has the extension of mql instead of ex4?

p.s. it shows error when I try to compile it in meta editor!

Hi Mourad,

if you not have set CSS=true BASA works with Empty4 Backtester, for your second question, you have to correct the error so that the EA compiles, maybe you can post it here and I will have a look.

Thank you Mr Tom.

I never turned CSS on because I noticed long time ago that it depends on multi pairs functions, so it's already turned off.
The version I'm trying to backtest is attached.

The other EA that shows error is Nasa2 and it's also attached.


I know that MT5 can backtest multipairs EA.. can you post any reference that explains this process in details if you don't mind?

RE:BASA i see it is the 2d this version seems to have a bug see

Edit:and for xMeter NSNA v2 you need to have this file LibOrderReliable4ss1.mqh in your experts/include folder, if it is missing the EA will not compile

Mourad, !xMeter EAs cannot be backtested, except for the very early versions.
