Hi Guys..Hope I am in the right place I am a manual trader but find Steves Forum a wonderful place to hang out and see what is going on within the realms of Automation...I have always had a soft spot for the Crossfader thread as there are so many new ideas being tossed around there but it moves on very rapidly sometimes leaving little gems behind.VM is a great thinker, hard worker and also a nice guy.. At the start of his VSA thread a little Semi Auto EA containing his bare bones SUU and Bush order management was left behind (VM’s description below). The EA relies on you to pick the direction. EA contain 2 type of MM: -bush trading (new orders will be open at the defined pipstep, no orders will be closed until you've decided to do this). It have very big cumulative power and in case of right direction-big movement make you a billioner very quick -SUU trading (most profitable order never will be close until your command. All new orders will be open at the defined pipsteps. If order reaches takeprofit value - it will be closed in profit. You will take all movement in the pocket. As VM is in constant forward motion and never moves backwards I came here to ask for your assistance and hope it could help others too. When the ea is on the chart you have to open your buy or sell order manually or you can use a stop or limit order to open your position, the EA then takes over and thereafter you have to close it yourself by changing stop from false to true in the ea inputs (it will only close everything if you are in profit). I think some modifications to this little EA could be beneficial for many manual traders here and could probably also be incorporated into any strategy by an adept coder for his or the communities benefit. Here is where I ask for assistance Could there be a Close all in profit = In Pips (from opening order) Close all in loss = In Pips (from opening order for use as a stop loss) Magic number function (for use on multiple charts) Being a manual trader my profit targets are pre defined and at the moment when using the EA I have to keep an eye on things all the time or close prematurely at night as the target could be reached and price reverse leaving me in the shizer..(it has happened a few times) An added feature could be the option to use a Heiken Ashie or VQ histogram to open or close trades on trend change if required. There should be the option to change the parameters of these histograms in the EA for those who like to tinker. If you have an idea where price might be going this feature could help you garner some more profit. It’s a great little semi Auto EA and it’s a shame to see it disappear without it being used to its full potential. Here’s hoping I have peaked your interest Regards to all and all the best for the new year Brian |

First attempt finished, pls. see attached. Since I was on an simple time-based stoploss-ea I have extended it a bit. It is a stand-alone-EA actually, pls. test if it does what you expect it to do and if everything is alright we/I will try to implement that stuff in the CrossFader-EA. if both, CloseOnVqColorChange and CloseOnHASmoothedColorChange, are true the ea will only close (or open) trades if both colors are in opposite direction of the trade. important: Pls. set SendOrdersWhenBacktesting=true only if you are on backtesting (the ea will open orders and manage them then, nice for testing of the functions). pls. download the indicators also since the ea checks if they exist ... |

Hey Marc Its a nice little Ea in its own right that thanks. I tested the HA and VQ functions in conjunction with the SL and TP as well as without them and couldnt find any problems . I dont know if a breakeven and trade only once function would work as it might mess with the Crossfader side of things as CF opens multiple orders.... all looks to be fine after a 2-3 hours of visual backtesting and messing around with the functions..works well on the higher TF's ( H1 upwards..VQ loves H4) which is a good thing. DrawDown was the CF killer...Your creation could be the cure..lets see if they fancy each other Thanks again Brian |

Nice, thanks. EDIT: hm, find the line int MagicNumber = 0; and change it to extern int MagicNumber = 0; -> then it is possible to change the magicnumber. Regarding the hex-stuff - Is it possible that all the hex-calculations do not take effect when genrating signals? After a quick look it seems so. |

Hey Marc This was the first version when the hex idea first started..from my understanding vm didnt implement it till the later versions..the hex and all the comments regarding Vsa in the ea are dorment and not needed..you could probably delete them ....the new orders open and close on pipstep which i think are calculated by ATR.. The order management is what we are after |
