I'm OK with identifying trending pairs with CSS:

and then opening that trending pair to search for entry:

But the dashboard has a lot of info. Not quite sure where to start. Which bit do you look at first for the more basic trades going with the trend?
The dashboard is useful because we can see this on my phone quickly and scan for opportunities potentially very quickly - and on a small screen such as a phone.
But which order do you scan with your eyes? - And how much of an opportunity do we want to enter? If we wait for everything to line up that will take a very long time to happen.
We can see GBP pairs are trending with the red boxes and red dots (click for bigger image):

So far I look for same colour lights on the D1 and weekly scale, and then look at the next scale down (4H stoch) to be going in the opposite direction to this. This way I'm ready for when that 4H reverses to with the trend. When that reverses I then look at the next scale down, the 1H, and open the actual chart for the symbol - when that is with the trend I enter with the trend. I don't go any lower than this.
Does this sound like the best way of doing this? How often should I be checking the chart for this time scale? I think every 45mins since that is just less than an hour right? - and no more. I could set a timer on an intervals to remind me to check.
Is this the right process? If so, I hope it helps newbies. I don't see a whole load of discussion on dashboards so I think people are using CSS without the dash and just changing timescales. This is fine but I prefer the dash on a mobile phone screen and RDP to VPN to avoid being tied to the computer screen.
edit: Finally, what backtester do you use for multiple symbols like this? I use LFH Simulator, it's a free EA but only one symbol at a time. AFAIK you have to apply the template each time you run it. It's good though so if trading one pair check it out! |
