I am new to this forum stuff and have been trading badly for nearly 3 years now, in money terms have traded live and blown $50k plus plenty on crappy systems which I didn't test thoroughly enough, and trading with emotions is my worst habit so i am trying to find automated means of income
As the heading suggests this is my post regarding my Grid Trader. This EA is copied from a forum which I can't remember but I stumbled upon the idea of using it via 4hr charts with small success, until I get greedy and blow the lot. The EA called 'Sebgrid 1.5a' is a grid trader which I have had modified by a programmer, but still has vast amount of decompiled code, which hoping won't ban me from this forum

To explain more fully, I will below, and this will also explain why I need some coding help!!This EA had no entry requirements so when you added it to the chart it simply started trading as per the previous bar (I think), down = sell etc. So my brainwave was to incorporate the simple RSI indicator as the entry/exit strategy, with step martingale already included it has worked like a charm. I am attaching the EA as part of this post, and a set file. There is a screenshot attached showing it at work although this demo Empty4 has been opened and closed too many times to show much history of trades etc. Also, I am attempting to attach a statement of the EA's trades from the starting point at the beginning of MAY. With a starting balance of $5000 USD and as many currencies as possible (I think 26), I am quite proud of its performance. The draw down, between 10- 50% at the start, is a major problem with this EA (as with most 'no SL ea's'), even with the martingale set to 1.5 and a starting lot of 0.01. The major reason this EA is so successful is it loads new trades with the new 4hr candle, so not strictly grid-like.
BUT, like always there is a catch, and this EA seems to have a faulty 'equity-stop' function, which is causing me lots of headaches as it does not work on the tester, and it does work on demo but causes errors with trades being closed and new ones being re-opened. So, a small challenge for you coders out there to take a look at this EA PLEASE, so we can utilise this function and in turn majorly save on the draw-down issue. My only problem in getting this function working again is to continue to have a profitable system, as the bigger trades off the tops/bottoms give the huge return,(but huge risk also
.So, lastly I wish you luck, enjoy the EA as it is, and/or help me fix the 'equity stop' problem and then test this inclusion. Regards, Charles.
