Hi Steve, Coders,

I was studying SBB code trying to understand the purpose of Matt OR code.

I understand that this code was used in order to avoid a multitude of trades opened by the EA in case that the trade do not show up in the order history.

It seems that this code is not working anymore with the New MT4Crap update, and that’s why Steve has implemented the PostTradeAttemptWaitSeconds into SBB.

From what I understand the PostTradeAttemptWaitSeconds function avoid the EA to open a new trade during xxx seconds and should replace Matt OR code.

My questions:

Do we know why Matt OR is not working anymore and if this kind of trades which do not show up in the order history happened on a regular basis?

The PostTradeAttemptWaitSeconds avoid the EA to open a new trade during xxx seconds. In SBB, this function is not considering that the EA is trading multiple currencies, which mean that if SBB has 2 signals for EU and EJ at the same time, the EA will open the first signal EU, and wait xxx seconds before to open UJ.

Is it on purpose? I mean do we really have to wait xxx seconds before to open a new trade on another currency or should/could we isolate this control per currency with a global variable or an array in order to allow new trades on other currencies but wait before to open a new trade on the same currency?

No.

Yes. Amazing though this may sound, I try not to do things accidentally. Doesn't stop me every time, but I try to avoid it.

Up to you whether you do so or not, but you will wake up to a blown account where 950 identical trades caused a margin call.

I do not describe Empty4 as 'CrapperTrader' and the latest builds as 'jerrybuilds' out of an affectionate teasing of a valued product. It is total crap and the sooner Global Prime is able to offer a suitable alternative, the happier I shall be.

Just a clarification, it mean that to avoid any problem we have to wait 5 minutes between any trades (different currencies)?

I thought that the purpose of this code was to avoid multiple trade on the same currency, not between different currencies.
