OK I am struggling very hard to understand setting trade time for an EA when using a VPS... for some reason its just not clicking in my mind :arrrg: . I am trying to set up an EA from the forum here, Pipcruiser's Pipmasher.

There is an input for tradingHours to be entered in the format +0:00,-0:00 and described as:

The TradingTimeFrame input
This must be the time frame you intend to trade as the EA bases all of its calculations on it. This allows you to change time frames on your chart to view different scenarios without disturbing the bot. The downside of getting this wrong is something you will discover to your cost.

Hi.

You set it according to the local time on your vps.
So for example, if your broker's day starts at 00:00 GMT+2 and your vps is on GMT+4 you would set your trading time as +02.10,-02.20
Or you could just set the timezone on your vps to match your broker's, in which case your trading times will be +00.10,-00.20
