It's now been a couple of weeks since running HGB on my small live account and so far it has pulled in a total of 598 pips.

A couple of quick observations, just like any other EA you need to pick your battles and intervene when required there is no such thing as a set and forget EA, anyone that says different is dreaming, It may have a good run for a while but at some stage it will fall off the cliff.

As we all know this EA works best when we get a good run on price and worst when price is very choppy, as i have currently found with GBP/USD which is now switched off until it makes it's mind up on direction, so just be cautious of pairs that are currently going sideways best to wait until price moves away from the chop.

Another important area to be weary of are the major support and resistance levels along with the major price levels such as the 00 and 50, just the same as manual trading, these area's generally turn into price reversal zones so if HGB is up in profit and heading towards these major area's then be ready to take the pips and run, no point giving all that profit back to the market.
Also the same if HGB opens pending orders at or near major S/R levels it's better to cancel and wait.

I will add more information as I observe more and get more of a feel for the way HGB is loading positions, but so far I'm very impressed with HGB....

thanks for the update sniper, keep us posted. seems like some are having success with HGB but my manually intervening and taming the beast


can i weight my $0.02 in the debate and say would it be an idea to forward test with take profits reduced from the large default of 200 pips to something like 50. this has worked for iamshakey on the daily timeframe with hgb. ive noticed quite a bit that when there is a good run and open p/l is very high, sometimes this will reduce to nothing without the pips even having been banked as tp for the trades is so far off.
