Hi,

I found the indicator on the open web and came here to look and learn. And possibly share some views. First of all - I cannot believe that so much good still exists in this world. An incredible job by a handful of true gentlemen.

True to myself, I immediately went ahead to see which patterns could be consistent. I also worked on some combinations to see if an edge could be established. Somehow.... I could have found a possibility.

I am updating this first post today - 1 May 2015.

I like things reasonably simple. So set to work over the past few weeks and has come up with a template that I believe will be simpler to "read".The HGI indi is incorporated into 2 other indicators and information is shared through iCustom. The chart remains reasonably clean and the indicators will highlight areas of possible short trades and areas of possible long trades. I now look for confirmation through the indicators and act on HGI in combination.

HGI in combination seems to keep us on the right side in general. But a lot of testing still to be done. As we go along, certain formations will repeat and the key would be to shortlist those - some will work better than others. Some would be more of a high probability setup than others.... you know the story...

If not mistaken - every single trade posted in the tread up and including the USD/CAD trade posted on 17 April was successful. I believe this setup is even better.

So - here are the indicators as well as the template. All indicators to go into indicator folder and template into template folder. If you like - throw them on a chart and see if there is any value.

We can start discussion on this setup as from post #42. All posts prior was done testing part of this.

Here is a short term 15min GU long signal. The signal bar top will become the target. I will add to the long scalp if price go lower and another unique buy signal appears.

What is of interest is the fact that a buy indication is present on the 4hr GU as well. I cannot call these dots buy or sell signals really. Sometimes they do act as direct buy or sell signals where price will take off without any draw down.

Other times - from observation, these would more be "markers" - indicating where price will return to and slightly pass.

Based on the 4hr - the target is 1.4966

On the Renko - it is at times a little more difficult to read the signals or markers - I am still attempting to understand these fully. But I believe there is one higher up @ 1.4960 and a new one just printed. Applying the premise that price normally slightly pass the marker - then I can assume 1.4970 - which will echo the 1.4966 marker on the 4hr?

Will be interesting to watch.

I guess whilst kicking tires on the proposed system framework - the true test will soon come. According to the marker - there is unfinished business @ 0.9832 on USDCHF. This is 5min chart. So - first challenge here....

Will the assumption of "covering" these unique markers hold water - or were they just lucky guesses. I will have to now look and see. This could end just as quickly as it began as an idea.A Draw down of 170 pips on a 5 min chart is a concern.

A serious one.

I have entered and will leave this to find it's way. There was one attempt to cover - but came short... so do I have to throw out the idea that the markers will cover? :roll:

Will have to wait and see.

Hello

Herewith the set. Place all indicators in indicator folder and Template in Template folder. Also attached Renko indi. The template is for bar charts. You can save your own Renko template if need be.

I personally think the Renko setup looks better.. but forward testing needs to be done. Not sharing the source code at this time.
