ARC is my own working of the idea Popov presented at http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... f=5&t=4535. This is no disrespect to Popov and I shall be featuring his thread in my WRUP on Sunday night.
I have two reasons for coding my own version:
- Popov created his ea using an ea builder. There looks like some pretty nifty stuff in there and the code appears to be written in what I assume is Mql5 OOP. The only thing wrong with this is mahoosive; there are none of the anti-Empty4 safety measures that I always include. Noobs will come to appreciate the enormous importance of this the first time they sit down at their platform and find the account has hit a margin call after the ea sent hundreds of trades 1 tick apart. I would not even bother to have nightmares about trading an ea without all the safety features.
- Giving users the opportunity to use all the usual Bob stuff etc as filters.
EU H1; go long when the previous candle rose by at least 30 pips and the trading volume is at least double the average of the previous 80 candles. Close the trade at the close of the trading candle.I have included inputs so that tinkerers can play with the Volumes settings (Volumes indi in Navigators/Indicators/Volumes) and candle requirements. You have the option to not close at the end if the trading candle.
Not sure I have come across a simpler idea than this. ARC is not going to be a trading tart, so leave him chugging away on a demo somewhere and see how he gets on.

Using ATR to calculate the minimum candle body height
I have added the facility to use ATR for calculating the minimum acceptable candle body height:
- UseAtrForMinimumCandleBody: turns this feature on or off.
- AtrTimeFrame: the time frame you want to use for the calculation.
- AtrPeriod: this is the 'Period' input that ATR requires. The indi default is 14. The default here is 20, to represent one full day of H1 trading.
- AtrDivisor: calculates the minimum height by dividing ATR by this. I have included it for those of you who want to play with ATR on a higher time frame.
