Due to my being in that missing ring of Dante's Inferno which is otherwise know as the United States of America, I am very limited in Brokers.
The two that I am testing are Offshore. Why you may ask? So I can do things that are MY God given Bot loving right to do like Hedging, Tighter Spreads, and ECN. (oh, if anyone can suggest even more options , broker wise then please PM me)
The Brokers are Tallinex and PAXForex.
On Tallinex I am not having any Problems with installing EA's, Indicators with the usual , File->open data directory. Go to MQL4, Experts, and put file in, process.
On PAXforex which should be named BELLUMforex,
more War than Peace, I am about to lobotomize myself with a butter knife.Installing the EA's and indicators is a hit or miss NIGHTMARE. I have tried going to "tools" and then the "MetaEditor" toilette du Jour and have had success with one EA but NOT the other. Please note that both of these EA's and Indicators have been successfully installed at Tallinex.
The Customer Service Rep. at NIXForex pasted this unhelpful advice. See Below.
"How to add indicators\EA to Empty4 In Empty4 CPA indicator is not set by default. You may download it from the Internet and use the instruction below to set it: As a result of the recent Empty4 4 (Empty4) Build 604 upgrade implemented by MetaQuotes, the folders within the Empty4 folder have moved. In addition, the MQL4 language has changed, and this may have interfered with your installed Expert Advisors (EAs) and indicators. In the new MQL4 version all MQL4 applications should be located in the appropriate folders of \MQL4\ directory. You can find the data folder () for each copy of Empty4 4 terminal on your computer via the terminal menu or in MetaEditor: File - Open Data Folder.
YES I UNDERSTAND THIS 
Below are the steps on how to upload an indicator after the platform is updated: Select File from the Empty4 platform, click Open Data Folder In the dialog window, click MQL4 folder then Indicators Paste your Indicator in Indicators Folder YES, I UNDERSTAND THIS All old EX4 will work in the new Empty4 4 terminal. EX4 libraries compiled by the new compiler can be called only from the EX4 programs that have also been compiled in the new version.HERE COMES THE BIT OF FUCKERY THAT IS KILLING ME In some cases, you may need to edit the path in #property include for included files (if relative paths have changed) in the source files. Please note that MetaEditor's root directory is now \MQL4\. All programs should be located in the correct subdirectories In order to check the ’s compatibility please follow the below steps: Select Tools → MetaQuotes Language Editor Select View → Navigator (if not displayed already) Select and double-click on the desired Indicator Click on Compile If any errors are displayed, please contact your Indicator provider pro NOT WORKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"Granted I have just returned to the Shire, all things Hopwood and Forex but this has made me mental.
