Hi all, I'm in need of an EA to help me test the viability of a system. Luckily it's quite simple. I'll be testing on range bars, grid bars and perhaps renko bars. the idea looks good visually counting back 100 trades on renko bars and has posittive pips even with a backwards Risk reward of 2:1. I'd like to give it some more back testing over longer data. Even one day some forward testing... Indicator is attached. It's based on the GRaB candles concept. Buy: When bar closes green Sell: When bar closes red TP: Defined in pips in the EA inputs (default to 20 pips) SL: Defined in pips in the EA inputs (default to 20 pips) MM: Defined in account % in the EA inputs (default to 3%) Is this possible for somebody to knock together for me, hopefully it would fit with somebody's stashed template and be relatively easy to construct for me. Once I've done a bit more vigorous back testing and seen some more viability, I'll post the whole system up here for further testing both back and forward. Thanks in advance Stuart |

Thing is, you cannot expect a coder to read your mind. Actually, there is only one thingy that pisses a coder off more quickly than expecting you to read his mind. You write, "Indicator is attached. It's based on the GRaB candles concept." So what? What does the indi show? Who cares? For sure, I don't. Add some actual live trading results from your system. Then describe your trading system accurately. Then you might elicit some interest. Hmmmm. I think this needs to go into a forum sticky. |

Dear Steve, If you wish to use me as an example, please do so (no, that's not sarcasam, I mean it!). It's good to know what's expected (I guess that goes both ways). While I still think this is a reasonable Idea, the last 2 100 bar counts I did of this returned only 10 pips or so (either a win or a loss). The only redeemable part is the most losses in a row I counted was 5, so the only thing to go with would perhaps be some sort of martingale type money management. Thanks again. Looking forward to being here! More request details to come in the next post... Stuart |
