Post subject:  Firefox typing problems
Suddenly yesterday everything I typed into Firefox came out as garbage - I am writing this from Microsoft Edge.

"hello" comes out as "xcvbn", for example.

Anybody here know a solution to this? I have uninstalled/reinstalled in different combinations. Nothing works.

Restart Firefox in Safe Mode from the Help menu by clicking on "Restart with Add-ons Disabled". Is the problem still there?

Yep. I tried that before uninstalling etc. Made no difference.

A similar symptom was traced to the ZoneAlarm "anti-keylogger" feature: When you hit a key to type it cycles through every key on the keyboard. If you use ZoneAlarm, you may want to check into that.

The bloody thing has slowed to a crawl instead. I did the refresh thingy again before looking at ZA, thinking it could not do any harm. :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg: :arrrg:

Uninstall ZA and FF, clean the registry with CCleaner, restart the machine and reinstall FF. Hands off ZA.
