SERIOUS WARNING

    • Baluda's SUPER CSS 2.
    • The Awesome EA
    • The Gann High low Indicator
I recently had a request from lbs48 for an additionnal trigger method. According to him, the Gann High Low could give better results than the Flying Buddha. I checked and tried to program this indicator directly in the EA. I tested a few days and it works fine, at least it gives good results, often a little bit better than with FB. The FB is still in the EA, just deactivated...
An additional feature is the "MinimumDistanceBetweenAllTrades" that really help to avoid double trading and allow to stay safe most part of the time.
However, I may have done mistakes, so please if you see something, do not hesitate to comment in the thread.

I can already tell you that the OOTB inputs give good results, at least during the last week...
Please test it and give feedback. Thanks lbs48 for your idea.

I got pre-occupied trying to improve other areas of the Awesome
and had forgotten about lbd48's love for the Gann High low indi :smile:

Is this indicator the adaptive Gann High-Low jma Heiken Ashi arrows -1_20 ?

As you know, the trade filtering, the fill the gap function and Thomas's dashboard have kept me busy :youknow:

Now I'm thinking that the pairs which have larger daily ranges should not only have bigger trade distance
but they should also trade smaller size because due to their longer ranges, they will reach their TP target easier. At the same time if any of them run away and out of control, the smaller lot size will create smaller DD and it will help with trade recovery.

I noticed that your input trade1ImmediuateMarketOrder is set to false but I think your buffer pip number of 5 pips is too small for most currency pairs.

Delayed orders help in 2 ways.
1. a pending order will track price and as a pair pulls back our pending orders will follow the move and will be triggered at a better price
2. when there is a long run against our position, the trend is often steep and pullbacks are small so some of our pending orders will Not be filled and therefore our running DD will be lower and recovery will be much easier.

If we have a low buffer pip number we will get into trades much sooner and that defeats our 2 advantages.
Something to think about.

Hi to all.

Firstly I say endless thanks to NIcolas and Bill for their kindly approach and willingness to help.

Here is my result from 26.4.2018 until today.
I try EA for little demo acc - only $700.
So far today have +3586 pips, its amazing, but...
This week bring big DD - about -$ 256.
This results is pure from EA - without any manual intervetion.
However my settings is primitive, so i think, that EA have real potential be a succesfull.

For Bill, indi is called adaptive Gann High-Low activator jma Heiken Ashi arrows-bars.mq4 - attached.

Hi Luboš.
Many thanks, you sent it to me before but I had forgotten about it.

I find it interesting that the POS EA which does not use sophisticated trade filters is profitable.
Sometimes when we filter our trades, we increase accuracy but we could be making recovery harder.
So perhaps the Awesome EA needs less filtering and not more.

DD is a problem with this EA so the trick is to trade as small size as possible.
Assuming we have the correct settings, trades will recover.
It can take some time and perhaps it could take months but they will recover.

With this in mind, I decided to only trade in the +ve swap direction so while waiting for recovery,
my account is collecting some interest.
I also started grouping pairs together based on their daily range.

Anyway, be careful with it.
Your account size is small for this type of EA so I would limit the number of pairs and timeframes.

Don’t worry about the swap, I trade the -ve swap as well and have an average swap cost of 1 pip over all trades measured.
With an average winning pip per trade of 38.2 it’s marginal.
I wouldn’t want to loose the winnings from the -ve swap trades for this.
