I am very new at coding in mql4 language.
Just a note of thanks and gratitude to Steve and all the great people here.
I have created a custom indicator to display dots to indicate swing points or market exhaustion.
Similar to the fractal indicator. Take note, Not the same as fractal indicator.
I am very happy with the dots as they are displayed now.
From these dots, it can generate three type of entry signals.
- Failed swing entry
- Second chance swing entry
- Reversal entry
Non of this is my idea's. I bought the Counter Punch from Net picks.
I need a EA for this. Problem I had doing a i Custom call to their indicator is
97 input parameters and a i Custom function has it limitations.
This dots is the basis of the Counter Punch Strategy.
Currently I only try to get the failed swing entry right.
The entry rules are very simple:
For a short entry, the previous set of dots need to be higher or equal to the current dots.
Dots from above the candles.
For a long entry, the previous set of dots need to be lower or equal to the current dots.
Dots from below the candles.
If I run this indicator thru Empty4 tester, Arrows appear.
I would love to see the arrows before I run the tester.
My biggest challenge is array out of range errors.
