Good morning folks,
I am looking for an indicator coder who is interested in coding a small indicator, preferably TDesk compatible. The indicator should read user defined GV with their respective value. The output should be written into an indicator buffer. This way the TDesk drone would be able to handle the value.

I expect you already know that I cannot code indicators. Indicator coders speak in strange tongues beyond the understanding of mere mortals such as myself.

I post here merely to try to attract attention to your post as you are a highly respected member of SHF.

Here is the rub though. Your post makes no sense. - and I have read it several times. So far as I can glean from the post, you want to assign a value to a Global Variable that you have created. Then you want to have an indicator that reads this value whilst not knowing what the GV is. Then send this unknown value from and unknown GV to TFDesk.

TDesk is a work of genius but what you appear to be asking is unable to deal with unknowns.

You might want to think about making your requirements a tad on the clearer side of thingies.

Good luck. I hope someone can provide you with what you need. You might have to pay the coder.

First of all, thanks Steve for highlighting this thread. I really appreciate your help :good: Apart from that I am sorry for my awkward and obvisously unintelligible request. Maybe I should polish my english skills a bit. They are kind of ... 'rusty' ;)
Alright, back to topic. I will try to explain a bit better what I need. Basically I am in need of an indicator which is able to read certain global variables. As you all know a global variable does have a "name" (variable) like 'time' or 'deskyrunning' for example, a value and a timestamp. As I am in need of only a specific GV, I need to be able to define which Variable the indi should look for. Ideally the indi finds the variable in the GV table, reads the corresponding value, writes it into an indicator buffer and prints it somewhere on the chart. That's it for the indi part.
In a next step I would like to use the universal buffer drone (UBD) to incorporate the value of that particulare GV within TDesk. Alright ... ehm :? ... you guys know what to do right? :smile:
Oh, of course I am willing to pay a coder for coding an indicator which is working as intended. As this is not any secret trading system stuff, the indi can be posted in this forum for free to be used by everybody.

thank you for your response. I don't know if I got you ... which indicator do you mean? I do not have one :?
But it might be that I found another workaround for my idea. If this is going to work as intented, I am in no need for an additional indicator any longer. Going to figure this out in the next days.
