Hi @all. Long time no see.

It was last Monday after my morning coffee that I stumbled over an old document in my computer. It was named "TDesk ideas" and contained all the yet unrealized improvement ideas collected over the last years. As I had some spare time and felt my single coding brain cell could need some training, I opened up a terminal with TDesk on a demo account with 10000 USD.

Of course, TDesks eat signals and testing makes not too much sense without them. The easiest way to get some signals is to use the built-in HG feature of USD (Universal signals drone). So I quick and dirty set up HGI on three time frames with signals generated when trend arrows are found within the last 10 bars.

Those of you familiar with TDesk know that Multi Signals are a fantastic algorithm transforming every input complex into a currency strength signal. It is my favorite piece of code and so I put everything in the big blender to get a "multi-timeframe HGI currency strength" signal to trade with.

After some fine tuning the thresholds, a few signals popped up for JPY long. I didn't know anything about the ongoing JPY rally at that moment. As the whole thing was just for fun, I decided to open some trades with one lot each. At least it would be good for some adrenaline.

As we all (should) know, trading needs rules. I decided to look into the terminal not too often, maybe every one or two hours, just when I have time and desire. I would open new trades on new signals and secure them with a wide SL that I would trail sensibly if the trades make progress.

So came Thursday, often a day of turnaround in the US session. I saw the signals getting weaker and tightened my stops. It came as expected, the market turned around and my positions got closed. At 70% profit - WTF?!

I don't expect the setup to always work this way, but let's see what happens next. Maybe the fastest account crash in history? I'll keep you posted.

TDesk is a great bit of software and a credit to you Tomas and it will be interesting to see where this takes you.

I've not used the multi-signal, because I never really understood it, but it sounds like I should take another look.

Post subject:  A wild ride
It has been a wild ride this week. Lost nearly all of last weeks profit on Monday, gained a bit, lost it, gained a bit more, lost it again, then regained it: Over the week, lost 1500 and still stand at a profit of 5600 and change:

I made some mistakes this week. Didn't pay much attention, so came late to some party. Tightened stops very early, only to see my positions being stopped out just before the market turned again and made big moves in my direction. The entry signals had a huge potential that I missed. BTW: Big countermoves always happened in the Asia session - shame on you for market intervention, BOJ.

I will draw some conclusions from this week: Try a more mechanical approach and open all positions with a fixed SL and TP. Will keep the trailing stops very wide. I will also ignore weakening signals as they often regained strength.

We will see how the coming week plays out.

wow tomele looks like it was indeed a wild ride, nice to see it still ended up in profit, and good that you might be able to use the observations gained to tweak the system for better performance as per those specified factors

It happened as it had to ... account blown. Only idiots trade 10 lots on a 10k account. Never mind. It was only meant as a toy to play around with while working on TDesk. Maybe I will find something better. I'll keep you posted.
