This is not a set-and-forget ea. There is no such thing and anyone who tells you there is, is either a liar or an idiot. This EA will need manual intervention.
At best, a trading robot is only 90% as good as the manual strategy it trades. At best. At worst, it can be much less effective. If the strategy is rubbish, so is the robot.

Put simply, the markets sometimes open considerably higher/lower on Sunday night than they closed on Friday night. There is then a tendency for the markets to retrace back towards that previous close. Gappy attempts to take advantage of this.
Those of us in Europe and North America most notice this, as the markets open so far as we are concerned on Sunday night, about an hour after the crims kick their arses into gear.
Here is a great example of the gap - see the highlighted area. Notice how the market moved back towards the close at the end of the previous week? I do not know if this applies to those of you who live in parts of the world where your markets open on Monday mornings. In any case, you need a criminal who opens for business at least one hour after market open.
The inputs are the usual suspects, with these that are specific to Gappy:
- - CriminalHasSundayCandle: set this to true (the default) if your crim has a Sunday candle. If not, set it to false.
- MinimumGapPips: the minimum gap required to send a trade.
The chart display will look a little odd for now, so ignore it. In code-testing back-testing in strategy tester, Gappy will trade once and then shut up shop. The chart display is intended to help me work out why, using visual mode. I have not been able to sort this out, but it hardly matters. Gappy will trade once a week only, and so will be shut down once any trade it generates is closed.
Take profit is the distance between trade open price and last week's close. Stop loss is 50% of take profit.
