Hiho together,

i thought it would time to post the latest version of my pitch indi based on TMA slope values. A picture says more than thousand words, so look at the pic to better understand the indi.
PitchIndi072.JPG
The SandyBrown line is the TMA slope and the LawnGreen one is the calculated pitch value.

The pitch value at a specific time can be calculated in different ways. The most common would be to calculate the pitch as the difference between the current TMA slope value and the one before. Additionally in this indi you can take a user specified range of past values and calculate the MA of these values to represent the current pitch value. This is what you see in the picture.
Just for better studying the pitch value i added the external parameter 'MultiplyPitch'. It only multiplies the calculated pitch value with the value of 'DeltaCandle' which specifies the range of the last candles i talked about above. OOTB it is set to false.
The indi is also MTF and the moving average is also MTF and shows also the known stairsteps in lower TFs :-)

I would also like to thank NeoTrader for his support to include the MTF LWMA-MA into this indi!!!

Thanks for reading and nice weekend
Guido

Yepp. You are right. The calculation is only done on closed candles. Example: When entering a new H1 candle (0) you then can calculate the pitch value of the hour before (1).

PS: meaning there is no repainting or use of future candles...

hilavoku,

So what can this TMA Pitch do? Is it meant to cancel some of the lag in TMA Original?

Regards,
Athar.

Hi Athar,

yes it seems like it deletes a bit of TMA lag. When you look at the Picture you see the current H4 lines of USD/JPY.

When the green line is descending the uptrend of the TMA value is most likely to reach is Maximum and vice versa. I think that it can really help in finding a better trading decission but haven't invest into it any further. At the moment i stick with 10.3 :-)

Hi.I also think it would be better to use TMA and not to TMAtrue. Thats because you can use a specified number of bars for calculating the current pitch value. So it would be better to use the repainted/better fitting TMA values!

hilavoku,

So the green line is TMA Pitch and the white one is TMA(repaint-original)?

I am not a coder so probably cannot follow the program logic well, but what is the theory behind Pitch given that we got so many indis floating around .

RSI, even Stoch in HTF works, it seems !

Hi Athar. Sorry for the late reply.
Yes the green one is the pitch and the white one is TMAtrue. But you can change it to TMA. There is a corresponding external parameter to change between the two modes.

The pitch is nothing else as the difference between to TMA values. The parameter 'DeltaCandle' specifies the number of the last TMA values we take into account to calculate the average difference. Thats all. Nothing special. Just play with the Parameters :-)
