Hi all,

Thank for the warm welcome and sharing and testing of ideas and of course your code :D

In the interest of giving a little back I've made available some of the Empty4 indicators and libraries I've written. You can download them from my public GitHub repositories, located at https://github.com/ninety47.

I currently have 2 main repositories:
  • Empty4-libs: A couple of libraries that are used by my indicators and experts.
  • Empty4-indies: At this stage 2 correlation indicators I have written (MTF Correlation table and an oscillator.)
The direct links to the repositories are: The libraries include a:
  • string: basic string manipulation library,
  • statistical library: released at this stage with only 1 function - Pearson's product moment correlation coefficient.
  • common: at present only 2 functions that I've identified as useful across more than 1 indicator.
  • test: some functions to help with unit-like-testing.
The correlation coefficient is implemented in C/C++, I'll get the code up there in the near future. In the interim a compiled DLL is available.

Thats nice start Ninety47 and thanks for your efforts so far.

A decent code library for Empty4 is something that could be of huge benefit to everyone. The problem will be getting people to use it :?

Hi Dietcoke,

My take on this code/libraries are that its just stuff that I've written - if someone wants to use them I encourage them to go for it! So I hope its useful to others! Basically I'm just putting it out there and not too worried about "getting" other folks use it.

Re: the Library of Trade Functions thread, I've started to group some trade functions based on some of the libraries you referenced along with my take on what works in an EA.

Other libraries I have in the pipeline include a PostgreSQL connector (for data logging and sourcing extra data) and some more stats functions (very likely calling the R using the RCpp interface).

Re: MQL4 - So far I'd have to say it is the a pretty horrid language to do anything meaningful in - which means more C/C++ for me (and anything else I can link it to)..... hmmm an support XML-RPC in MQL4 would be good - python based RPC services are easy to run up.... hahaha my thoughts are running away!

I'd love some feedback on the MQL4 I've written - see if I'm doing anything the hard-way etc.
