Help setting up SBB

Can i ask please what TF are you guys putting the RM'S set file on as i'm having same problem and would like to try it also

And I have mine on H1, just woke up to a 7 hour internet outage was assuming a wake up to zillions of pips... not the case. 34 trades total, 27 closed for 550 pips, 7 floating for -124 pips. Just under 2 hours until Asian session open, we will see what the day brings.

Thanks Nick i set it up on 30m TF last night

this morning up 396 pips with 28 open trades at present

so going very well compared to what i had before

will leave it this week then test on 1hr from Monday and see results from that

Trades open and then close almost immediately across all timeframes using the same set file parameters that have been working all week.

I'm only running Trend trades with Close on opposite signal. SL100, TP1000. No other closure settings.

I'm attaching my SET file and 1HR log file which shows that at 00:00 (Melbourne local time - GMT+11) all open trades were closed. Following that when a new trade is opened it's closed immediately.

Is anyone else experiencing this?

yes many of us had this problem. Please read this post.

Another possible solution: check your Friday Close hour. I wanted to delete ootb setting, but it defaulted to zero. Now zero means all existing trades close at midnight (your time) Thu/Fri and all subsequent Friday trades are not allowed = immediately closed. Change the setting to 23:00 GMT.

You have wrong setting on FridayCloseTradesHour. Use something like value 23.

Hi Varso,

Thanks for pointing out this earlier post - I'd missed it somehow. Kind of obvious now you highlight it.

Looking at the code I can see why it defaults to 0 - the var is defined as INT instead of STRING which means a blank input doesn't apply as it does with the TradingHours parameters. I will try a value of 25 though as I don't want SBB to stop trading on Friday - use SaturdayCloseTradesHour to stop trading.

Hi Folks,

Just reinstalled Empty4 over the weekend, and am facing an issue with SBB now...

I was using SBB on 30m, only trend trades, bob's h4 240 ma filter, and it was going all very well last week, until yesterday I reinstalled Empty4, and noticed SBB wasn't taking trades according to the main trend.

Looking at the main page, JPY pairs mostly show "BOB H4 TREND = Down", when it is clearly up, other pairs just seem to show "Up".

I attached a screenshot...

Has anyone faced this problem before or knows how to fix it ?

Is this what you're talking about? The giveaway is ***EXPERTS DISABLED***. Go to the EA and look at the Common tab. Enable Allow Live Trading and Allow DLL imports. Make sure Auto Trading is enabled in the tool bar.

For some reason Empty4 keeps unchecking Allow Live Trading when you reload the EA.

Hi Murphy thank you for trying to help me. I disabled Experts by myself on purpose, because the EA wasn't trading in the manner I wanted to, i.e. with Bob's H4 filter enabled (so I didn't want it to take any more trades, but still wanted to find a solution for the problem). My purpose on posting that screenshot was just to show that the EA wasn't updating Bob's H4 filter values correctly.

After changing the code according to tomasbelada's suggestion at : http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 00#p104119 , I understood that the issue didn't come from me reinstalling Empty4, but from the new SBB 1m release.

Changed the code, and everything's working well now. "Bob H4 Trend"s are all correct and running now.

Help with error 149.

I am getting the error 149 such a the one below.

AUDUSD Secret Bob%27s Basket OP_SELL order send failed with error(149): hedging is prohibited;

I have IsGlobalPrimeOrENCCriminal = false
My broker is FXCM US. I am a U.S. citizen.

attached is set file I am testing for Secret Bob Basket EA.

Edit: Perhaps I'm getting the error 149 because my broker FXCM US does not allow hedging due to US regulations. So, should I just ignore the error messages and let the EA do it's thing? Or, is there an input that I need to change so the EA does not try to place hedge trades?

Edit 11/20/14: I believe I found the reason for the error 149.
It's possible, I believe, for a trade to be entered correctly by the rules and for a trade in the opposite direction to be activated prior to the first trade hitting SL or TP. Since my broker does not allow hedging, the second trade will not be activated and the error 149 "Secret Bob%27s Basket OP_SELL order send failed with error(149): hedging is prohibited; " My conclusion is that is safe to ignore the error message.

If I got this wrong, please comment.
