Were you guys using a zero stop loss? I have looked at the code and there is a line missing. The fix is in V 1h in post 1.

To make the fix yourselves, go to line 1222 and insert
if (StopLossPips > 0)

This stops SBB inserting a zero stop loss, which is instantly hit.

Another possible solution: check your Friday Close hour. I wanted to delete ootb setting, but it defaulted to zero. Now zero means all existing trades close at midnight (your time) Thu/Fri and all subsequent Friday trades are not allowed = immediately closed. Change the setting to 23:00 GMT.

Yes Steve I did have zero for stop loss. Odd that it worked for three days normally, but anyway thanks for your efforts. Monday it will be back to testing and the 100 or so ways we could use SSB.

My demo that kept the trades open, dug itself a bigger and bigger hole.
After reaching 130% profit, the DD was just as much so I discontinued this demo.

The M30, trendtrades only, H4 240MA filter, 2% demo closed 8 profitable baskets last week, making 1.900 pips. During NFP a 9th basket closed with 0.9% loss due to slippage, so not bad at all.

The H1, trendtrades only, 2% demo made 1.230 pips last week with a little less DD than the M30 demo.

For next week I replaced the no-closure demo with the following;
- H1
- trendtrades only
- have MPTM set TP @ ATR60*1
The idea is to have SBB enter the trades, and let MPTM set the TP @ the hourly ATR of the last 100hours.
The TP will be somewhere between 12 and 30 pips, eyeballing charts I presume 95% of the trades will hit the TP within a day.
Maybe setup another demo with the same settings on the M30, where more trades are fired, but with smaller TP.

So, most of last week running at minimum lot size on a live Global Prime account.
M30
Entry on: Trend only
Exit on: CT or Opposite trend; 20 pips basket target per trade or 100 SL

1000+ pips I'm happy

Ok, ok - but what about the DD ... actually and/or in the past ocuring ?

Well first of all congrats on your new grandchild.

And second on the birth of your new EA. What a week you've had.

My results are for trading on a live 1 hour chart are only 517 pips positive.

One week doth not a EA make, but its been an heck of a week anyway and the bar has now been set at a 1000 plus pips.

The basket is awesome, started generating trades after downloading Sunday evening. I run the EA in one direction only.

A predefined distance away from 240MA maybe a good idea to consider CT trades.

I can't get the MPTM ATR TP to work, so I changed my gameplan.
In stead of MPTM handle the TP, I divided the pairs into ATR-groups, with ATR60 ranging from 12-17, 18-22, 23-27 and 28+
Then I setup a SBB for each group, with its own magic# and TP; 15, 20, 25 and 35.
Till now I set no SL, might be usefull in the future, time will tell.

To speed things up a bit, I allowed both Trend and CT trades to be opened.

Since last night markets opening, 22 trades closed for a profit of 433 pips, max DD has been 563 pips.

Hi. I'm, new to this forum

Very thanx to all the guys you make this stuff, I'll try do my best to improve this strategy. Well, have you tried to put some renko charts with SBB's indicator? On 4H chart looks really good, using only trend arrows I can see almost 90% good trades. I will try this this evening and give some results in a time.
