btw, I started using the 200% ATR as a TP because I've been working a lot of hours this year, and I didn't trust myself to find the time to go back and check every trade to see if the HGI signal had changed. This made the whole trading process very quick and easy for me.
My original plan was to check open trades once a month and look to offset orphan open trades sitting out there with booked profits, but I really only did that the first month. Since then I've been too busy to do anything other than place the trades. This confirms my long held suspicion that I do the best when I do the least, so to speak.
Quick update to my strategy this year of trading Daily HGI signals. It went through several changes, but for the last four months I've been trading Daily Blue Wave, Big Trend Arrow and Rad arrows on 12 pairs. I have no SL, TP for each trade is 200% of daily ATR(365).
My only filter is TMA lines 60 periods with 3.0 multiplier. If rad signal is outside the TMA lines I don't place the trade.

You've done well with your trading this year and that is inspiring. I thought I would use the TMA filter you mention to see how it might work for me but in spite of searching through numerous threads (Alorente's Baluda's, this one and others in SHF and elsewhere) I couldn't find a TMA indicator that showed bands. I did read somewhere that this can happen and that there is a fix for it, but instead of going down that rabbit hole I thought to ask if you could send me the one you are using so that I know that if it works on your side it should be the same on mine. Thanks for the greeting to the orange haired cat we called Popoki (Cat in Hawaiian). We lost our little guy two weeks ago, and we're still a little lost ourselves, but we enjoyed twelve years of having the most gentle cat with the most unique mannerisms we've ever known.

FastTMA indi attached. I believe this was a version of an indi used in the Extreme TMA system - this was just the non-repainting version.
I stumbled upon this strategy by accident. I was committed to trading HGI on the daily charts, and just happened to have the FastTMA lines sitting on the same chart from a different strategy, and was struck by how many bad trade entries I could avoid by using it as a filter.

Something weird is happening, which probably explains my earlier lack of success in installing other versions of the same thing. The bands are invisible on my charts. I'm not a newbie and I know my way around Empty4 and EAs and suchlike. In this case I even modified and compiled the code to give me an ATR multiplier of 3.0 and ATR of 200 by default. The indicator shows in the list of indicators (CTRL+I) and by hovering my cursor carefully in the right places a popup window appears giving me background info about it, so it is definitely there. I have installed it on my live account and two demo accounts and have changed the chart background and foreground colours to white/black/in between and the TMA band line width and colours too. I tried Bollinger Bands (as a similar sounding thing) and they appear. I switched my machine off and on and muttered incantations over it. I even invoked the spirit of Popoki the orange-haired cat, to no avail. So now I'm flummoxed.
Hi, having internet problems this morning, so I'll try to be quick. Appears that some change in Empty4 platform causes the indi to no longer display the lines if it is recompiled.
The version I have been using was last recompiled in March 2015, and it was working then. I believe that if you just copy the .ex4 file and use that without recompiling the source code file, it should work.
A total bummer as I've used this indi for four years and it is one of my favorites. I've looked at a couple of threads online from this year that suggested fixes to the original indi that DOES repaint and has the same problem, but those suggestions did not work for anyone. If I come across a new version that can recompile and have work successfully, I will post it.
Hello Spudfan, I was having the same issues. I also tried modifying and compiling the code, and the lines finally showed up for me after I compiled twice in a row. I'm running 4 Empty4 clients on 2 computers, and had to do the same for each. Not sure if 2 compilations in a row after modifying the code would work for anyone else, but it did the trick for me each time.
