Hi,

I've got this setup and working fine across most pairs (FX only) but I'm getting Error (130) issues just on the JPY pairs when the stop tries to jump. I've looked back through the thread and it appears that the EA should be looking at the decimal difference for these pairs so that shouldn't be the issue but it's a conincidence that it doesn't work on just those pairs that are 3dp rather than 5dp. I'm managing all pairs with a jumping stop - everything elses is turned off.

Can anyone suggest where I've gone wrong or a possible work around if required?

Latest version of mptm is in post 1. This one is mostly for the coders - read 'For the coders' in post 1.

For the rest of you, I have added some input separators to make reading the inputs easier and extra code to try to force mptm to close baskets during the global closure and basket closure functions. A few of us have had experiences in the FB thread where mptm has claimed that a basket should be closed, but did bugger all about it. Not certain the extra code will work, but we can try.

Apologies if this isn't the right area to post but I have some questions about how to configure MPTM for FB.

Steve makes the comment in FB post 1:

all trades opened by FB on all charts are regarded as being part of a basket of trades. The basket is closed by mptm at $6 profit per 0.01 lot size. 0.02 lost, profit target is $12. 0.03 lots, target is $18. Global Prime live trading account: 1 pip = 10 cents, so a 10 pip movement is $1.

Given the GP pip/price above, does this mean that $6 profit per 0.01 lot size translates to a 60 pip movement (ie. $1 = 10 pips so $6 = 60 pips per 0.01 lot size).

If so, then I see reference to ProfitInPips under GOC and have configured it as shown below. Is this correct?

I need your help to add following two functions in MPTM.

1) Close order with ABP color change ( As this helps to stay longer to get maximum pips from trade)---EA can close open trade when APB candle closed with opposite color. For example if buy order is open and there after apb candle closed with red candle then ea should close the order and same for vise versa. APB indicator attached.

2) Maximize profit / jumping profit function (Attached image for better understanding

This function will move TP & SL to next level when price is near to current TP(Trigger distance)


The Maximize Profit has 3 sections to set.

MTP - No of pips to move the take profit to the next level
MSL - No of pips to set the SL at trigger
Trigger - Distance in pips of the trigger area. This area is subtracted from the current take profit value
Level - number of levels that the Maximize Profit will have. So as that many times TP will be moved.

For example,
MTP- 50 pips
MSL-30 pips( It should be more than Trigger pips)
Trigger- 20pips
Level -3


With above setting if our buy order is 138.00 and initial TP was 139.20(120 pips) and initial SL was 137.40 (60 pips). Once price reach to 139, that 20pips from our initial TP then it triggers this function.

Level 1 triggered and TP move to 139.70(50 pips) and SL move to 138.90(30pips from previous TP). Once maximizing profit triggers JSL function should not work. Even if we set it true.

Then if price move in favor and go to 139.50, That is 20 pips distance from TP. Then it triggers level 2

Level 2 TP =140.20 SL 139.40

If price go again in favor upto 140 then It trigger level 3.

Level3 TP =140.70 SL 139.90. Same will be followed till the time no of level mentioned in parameter.

This Trade manger can only manage one magic number and one trade comment at a time.
please modify it to manage more than one magic number and trade comment at a time, for those EAs like
Bobs Second Brainless Thingy that have more than one magic no and trade comment.

Hi everyone and anyone,

Short time lurker, first time poster here.
I have 2 questions that i was hoping some kind soul could assist me with.

First off, a question about MPTM which has been asked previously (and answered in this thread). How on earth do I get MPTM to only partial close a position once with jumping stop loss? I understand in a previous response to a similar question Steve indicated that that the old 'preserve lots' function was now hardcoded in the EA and is therefore automatic. However, I've been playing with it for the past couple of weeks and no matter what i do, it seems to close half the position at each jump (as I have partial close set to 0.5). I have read this thread and the user guide several times and can't resolve this.
I know I can pretty dim sometimes so I attached the set file in the hope someone could point out my dumbass mistake

Second question is more strategy based and probably out of place here, but, what stop loss options do folks use for daily strategies. What have you found to be a good balance between locking in some profit and losing some on heavy retraces. I was on the right side of the NZD craziness this week but only caught 30 pips of it

Finally, I would like to thank Steve, Nanningbob, CaptainJack, pips400, Baluda, and all the other wonderful coders, traders and contributors on this forum for sharing their amazing indicators, EAs, strategies, opinions and most of all your knowledge. This forum and it's members have transformed my trading (albeit still demo) beyond recognition, and I owe you all a great debt of gratitude (and a hell of a lot more)

Version from the first post has got problems with closing all basket trades (some of them stay open).Milanese version 6xx working fine so far. Just to let you know, but I will keep testing them.

Any chance somebody can have a look on this EA Equity Manager for Martingale Lover v2.mq4 (trailing equity). Has got similar problem, does not wont to close all trades. It could be something with 6xx build.

Trailing equity is the only mising thing for me in the MPMT.

as cad0811 me requested for an ATR SL/TP setting, I found a little bloop in the code here is the fixed MPTM version now you can use UseTpAtr and UseSlAtr, the OOTB setting is set to use both.

Several months of test, work is quite perfect.
There is a small problem, if you use ATR_BE, close 50% ，the same currency have multiple orders, will happen error, close the order directly.
