I have a question for the coders regarding the wavy line buffer alerts.
At the moment we are able to receive alerts when the wavy lines appear. However the alerts are sent from both buffer 7 and 8 look the same. It would be handy for those using the Empty4 mobile app to be able to look at the wavy alert and know if it was a buffer 7 or 8 alert. Not sure if this is possible.

Is it technically possible to have the option to only receive alerts for specific buffers. Eg buffer 8 alerts when looking for entries and once in a trade have the option of activating alerts for buffer 7 to alert you to look for a possible exit.

Thanks. I do hope we can find a lasting solution to this, sometimes after the wavy line appears and i close my trades it disappears again 8 or more hours later, same goes for the big arrows too. Some times when i close a deal due to these conditions the mkt often reverse and favour my initial direction, sometimes it doesnt, this makes it hard to make a decition.

I do hope Bob and team will consider a non-repaint version so we can always go with the last valid signal.

Hi all,

at first I would like to thank Bob, Steve, Elixe and Tommasso for such a wonderful indi which HGI is. It helps me to do not overtrade which was my problem. But I see that people here forget that HGI is just a tool. I have one advice to them. It may sound rude but its not. START THINKING. HGI gives You signals about possible trend change but the rest is to You. You must decide if You take a trade, how do You manage it, when or where to close. Use the box on Your shoulders. If not, even the best indi cant help You. See how the story unfolds, learn naked trading, if You have problems with changing arrows go to the lower timeframe and observe. Are the conditions still there or do the picture has changed. Think.

Once more thanks to Bob and the rest.

Greetings,

Blazej

Hi usfantasy, I believe keephistory was introduced for this very reason. Set it to true and see how you go.

I agree with marktay though, changing the alerts to indicate which wavy has come up would be handy. Especially for trading with alerts from the mobile platform.

Cheers,

Hello all,

I am still new with this method but think that some people here goes in wrong directions about HGI...It is not mechanical indicator will make you rich (no indicator isn't unfortunately). This indicator move itself like market move itself so you cannot see signal and just enter, need much more than that!

You need to look at basing charting and HGI is here to help you make decision not the way around....

It can be use like compass what is market doing in a certain moment....

I see some people have confusion today regarding the USD/JPY...on daily was showing green arrow on H4 red arrow....

Well it is quite understandable,we know that lower time frames move longer one not the way around so if you saw 4H red arrow in sell it gives you warning about daily charts(especially while candle isn't close yet)....

So you have 2 options here:
1.In my opinion best options to wait that all line up (weekly dayily H4) and then you can move to lower timeframes to get bag full of pips in the direction (riding waves)
2.you can choose to counter trend trades which are riskier and more time will arrow dissapeir when market decides to change direction start from lower to higher tf

Well,we must use use our eyes and brains not just enter anywhere because indy says so.....

If you have loosing trade you must see why.what was wrong in analyse!

And remember that pair must have exaustion periods when PA rest, don't counter like that wait and see what will market do next (support resistance, mtf, higher high lower lows, speciffic news, bla bla bla)

Regards!

8 am the alarm goes off. It feels like 3 in the morning. Stars are out, moon is shining, and you can hear the wind blowing outside. Time for breakfast. I walk out and the main room has a log fire going, candles are lit, and I look at drink machine. One hot chocolate coming up, then I see a bag of peppermint tea. I go 'why not'. So I grab the tea bag and put it in the bottom of the cup and then push the hot chocolate button. I sit down on a chair by the fire and ................ hmmmmmmm

I have been having a hard time with "disappearing arrows after candle close".

8 hours ago there was a big sell arrow on EURJPY and USDHF on H4 time frame (last night gmt+2), this made me open sell orders on both pair. But 8 hours later the arrows were gone and a wavy exit line appeared afterwards.

The trades are currently in red and i was wondering should i close em or let em run?. Thanks

PS: I have had to close about 5 bad trades due to the disappearing of arrows after 4 to 12 hours when they appeared. Also i always wait for candle close before placing any order.

It is in the booklet and in several posts that if the market changes the indi will let you know so you can get out or in a trade. Waiting for candle close is also a mistake because trade conditions may have changed. When I get an arrow i go in, if conditions change most likely that trade is near 0 or has a small profit. Obviously you are not doing good waiting for candle close. I never understood the mentality of waiting for a candle close, the trade is either good at the time or it is not, why wait while a trade goes into profit never made sense to me. For example a 4H candle opens at 8am and at 830 price takes off. You wait until the next candle at 12 to take the trade when the euro session is over and the USA session action is basically done. That absolutely makes no sense what ever. Anyway, dont blame the indi for your choices.

As many of you know I quit trading by the middle of the month. Except for a handful of trades I will finish out I am done for the year. End of year profit taking, closing of books, low liquidity, etc. is havoc on indicators. Instead of taking a losing month I just bail out and am done. As soon as I clear out my open trades I am done.
