No. I put in a lot of screen time. 12 hours a day on average. Since I am trading HGI and Extreme TMA, both in H4, I have another account where I do M1 scalping to stay busy and sharp while new signals come in on HGI and ETMA, I use the same lot to account size proportions in all accounts.Cherry » Sun Jan 11, 2015 11:32 am wrote:Hi Al, Just wondering if the timeframe should make any difference to this, ie. D1 using a smaller lot size to H1?alorente » Sun Jan 11, 2015 8:19 pm wrote: I use 1 standard lot per $10,000 account balance. So if my account is $50,000 I place up to 5, 1 lot trades, all different pairs. If I already have 5 trades open and I get a 6th signal, I decide whether to open the new one and if I do, I close one of the other five, This setup pretty much should keeps your drawdown low.
Thanks for your advice and posts, I really appreciate all you share.

Hi Folks,
Hopefully another week to success for all,
I got a couple of PMs asking about the logic of where I take profit or accept losses. I like to look for areas of congestion and whipsawing in the recent past. So first I am looking for the next 20 line, and what the price did the last time it was there.
If there is no recent price action to compare to, go by volatility and or the seat of your pants.
It's amazing how well the HGI does in terms of getting you into profit. It seems every signal puts you into profit at least for a little while.
Anyway, I'm getting diarrhea of the keyboard here. These are my first two trades of the week, and my logic for closing them when I did. Up 18-20 pips already thanks to Bob and his band of steely eyed coders and traders.
Thank you to all,
Shake

The lower you go in TF the more errors the program will incur. In my trials, I have already eliminated M1 and M5 and just today, I eliminated M15 as an option. I will now concentrate on H1 because it is my nature to not leave any stone unturned, but in the end, experience tells me that the system will be a winner with H4 and nothing less.
Just wondering how you went with your testing of HGI on H1. Are you or have you used HGI 16.0, the version specifically designed for H1? Or are you concentrating soley on H4 for HGI. Are you still using the Hurst filter?
I gave HGI a good workout on H4 for several weeks before xmas. I also found that Hurst did a pretty decent job of filtering out the not so good HGI symbols, but since xmas the signals have been a tad scarce on H4 with Hurst.

Hi All, not sure where to ask this question, but it relates to the indicator and the manual provided by Bob.
Firstly, again my deepest thanks to Bob and the coders that put this together, it can really be life changing if understood and applied correctly.
Onto my first (for now) question:
It relates to the placing of SL based on the signals given by the indicator. As explained on page 29 of Bob's manual, point 7a. relays that your SL is placed at the bottom or top of arrows or wavy lines. Am I correct in assuming that this refers only to the large trend arrows and not the small rad or range arrows? If this is indeed the case, where would we place the SL when setting a pending according to a rad arrow? Using the opposite side of the rad arrow would seem very tight to me...(I am not using the range signals yet, I want to become proficient in using the other signals first). So, anyone care to throw a bone?
Thanks
Hannes

NZDJPY HGI trade
Hi,
I would like to know how would you trade this, starting on 5-01-2015, where the first rad sell appears.
1- This seems to be still in an uptrend, so I wouldn't take the sell signal.
2- Then 2 days after a range buy signal shows up, and I would have taken it.
3- On the 4th candle a golden and blue wavy signal shows up under the bar- so I would continue riding the trade
4- On the 6th candle, when I arrive home, I have 3 signals: range sell, wavy blue under the bar and trend buy. But I don't know what was the order in which it showed up. I placed a buy order with accompanying pending buys.
Would you trade it differently? Why?
