@Milanese
What is the reason, why the APTM by OOTB checks only the settings, resp. does supervising only by 15 seconds? I did not yet consider by default.
I set it to “1”, because I do not use it for basket. It works without computer-performance problems.
Before, I was wondering, because I sometimes lose 3-5-10 pips during higher vola periods, due to market fluctuation.
That’s makes a big difference , if a pip counts $1 or more.
Trade well friends

The OOTB setting is a PC resource saving setting, the best setting is for sure 1 (esp. if you use scalping strategies) and you should use this if you have no computer-slowing problems with this setting. OOTB settings in a TM are always only an exampel and not necessary the best settings . I use the APTM always with checkSeconds set to 1 myself.

Thank you very much. I have to admit that the message appeared after I deactivated an EA to prevent them from set their stop loss at 15. (As I said earlier that sometime an EA ignored the breakeven setting and use only jump stop setting.) Because if I didn't do that then EA will try to set their own stop even if they have been removed from the charts.
However your suggestion about APTM looks great. I installed and learning how to set up and use them as a replacement of MPTM if possible. I set "USE_SetBEandJump" and "MoveSLOnlyIfWin" to "True" and set "BEProfit" to 5 and "JumpStep" to 15. I understand that if I set this and the profits reached 5 pips then the stop will be moved to 5 pips then wait for more 15 pips before stop jump will take place. However it reached 5 pips and nothing happened. Do I misunderstood something?
Sorry for my English and many questions but your EA is very helpful for managing the trades. Thanks you again.

No ,BEProfit are the pips added to the OrderOpenPrice when BE is set in your exampel BE would set if the position would reach 20pips profit to OrderOpenPrice+/- 5 pips. For the necessary profit to set the BE is used SLMinDistanceToPriceBE and for trailing/jumpingSL SLMinDistanceToPriceJS read for this to the first post again here. The setfile attached is set to set BE + 5 pips if the profit reached 20 pips and will move the SL every 30 pips 15 pips, you can adapt the setting to the values that match your trading strategy..
Edit:Please redownloadsetfile, as I forgot to disable the partclose setting in the APTM

Actually the trailing will perform using a Jumping-SL (JSL) with or without ATR- or other additional OM-functions.
JSL will work at the best for trend-trading, swing or longterm to consider and expecting larger price movement’s resp. price-oscillation and -corrections, with the intention to avoid that an order would get closed to fast.
For trading ranges (scalping intraday) with small price-movements, as a scalper I have to adapt, resp. reduce the values of the EA (-parameters), using higher lotsize, PartialClose and closer stops.
Generally spoken, if we do not like to close an order with a defined TP (by RR-ratio), concerning the JSL-distance in pips to the actual price, these pips has to be regarded as a (fictive) loss, if price intermediately moves some pips on, not triggering the next jumping-level, then price turns back to close an order at SL.
Btw, using a closed TP in trending market might be counterproductive, also e.g. trading a homerun without considering stacking resp. pendings in order direction etc.
There are possibilities to stack orders with the HPEA and PartialClose, but these RMM- and OM-strategies are not the issue for today.
One of the advantages of the APTM, we can place initial orders following price action intraday, the APTM will manage automatically.
I`m an intraday- scalper, so for scalping small ranges few additional pips in profit would become welcome.
Therefore I´d like to request to implement a standard trailing, which replace the previous, starting settings, if the position has been protected by any BE/JSL-stop in profit (by conditions).
Then the standard-trailing should start to work as an additional option (true/false), instead of a JSL, independent from PC etc..
For the followers or beginners.
Please consider the difference between a jumping-SL and standard-trailing.
The JSL jumps by defined distance in reference to the price move, Milanese did already explained how it works, whereas the standard trailing would immediately follow by the defined distance the price-movement pip by pip.
Might be sometimes a philosophy and depends on personal strategies and RMM if it fits your requirements.
In reference to the trailing-distance in pips, we have to consider always a fictive loss caused
by the trailing-distance to price, but the standard trailing can catch some/few additional pips,
before price turns back to close e.g. with JSL.
To watch and compare how the standard-trailing work, you can try it via Empty4-terminal, but it will start working only by Open Order + the defined distance in profit.
Keep in mind, in the past without EAs/TM the standard trailing distances to Open Price were often to large, restricted by the brokers stop-loss-levels (mostly = > 15 pips and huge spreads), starting trailing only, when price did move the defined min distance into profit concerning entry (OpenPrice).
Anyway there was no way to start trailing with an initial-SL immediately as the APTM can perform and there has been only few TMs in former times (e.g. MPTM) to deal with such functions automatically.
Now the APTM provides different settings. We can use BE-protection or moving the initial-SL into profit.
Besides of other OM-strategies, if the BE/SL-protection > OpenPrice has been executed, I miss the feature for standard-trailing, because if an order has been protected in profit, I would get the chance to make sometimes additional pips, considering, that sometimes price will still move on some pips, then correct and close at SL.
In comparison and for clarification:
If the SL-MinDistance to actualprice = 10 pips, for the next jump, price have to move on further 10 pips into profit, before the next JSL-level will trigger. There remains temporary a range of 1-19 pips, before the next SL-level “maybe” will get triggered.
Not only by scalping, that is a huge distance and difference.
On the other side, the standard-trailing will move permanently pip by pip by the distance defined, as long as the price moves stable in the designated direction.
With other words, if price will fortunately move in the next SL-distance range, by standard trailing, we can catch by example 1-9 pips (by moving distance) in addition, whereas in the worst case, the JSL will close at the latest placed JSL-level. By fictive and a negative approach we will lose 19 pips by JSL, instead of only 9 pips with the standard-trailing. So it might be a small, but remarkable profit advantage, especially for scalpers.
I do not deal with pip-hunting, but I have to consider the profit regarding money return, depending on the used lotsize, so in summary every pip counts.
Comments always welcome …
Thanks to Milanese for his additional explanations
@Over60
If I understood you right, you can try a setting with JumpStep=1 and the SLMinDistanceToPriceJS you like, this should be near to your wants.
In general the problem with the trailing technics you describe imo would be the high frequency the SL would be changed, that can cause problems with your broker, as it can make the EA hyperactiv and will so create much servertraffic on brokersite.
In general if there is some request here from users users to have a "standart" trail modul avaible inside of the APTM I am open to consider this for a future update.
Thanks for your advice, it is a very good idea, I will try, I did not yet considered this setting.
I agree with you and understand what you mean, because we have in addition to consider the performance of the brokers server access supply, resp. access rates/performance in high volatility periods.
If it would make sense, a hidden SL-function for standard-trailing could be consider,
although I don´t like it, we talked already about several time, but in this case, hidden might be prevent to route and update every pip by pip a “fictive trailing SL” not routed permanently to the broker server.
The risks of hidden are well known. Anyway a hidden SL can be fixed and routed after X-time.
But anyway a hidden trailing-SL might be a small risk, when and before the initial SL or BE has to be already protected/locked and routed in profit, better than a zero-sum. I think we could can live with a hidden function.
Moving on …
Hope the "followers can follow".
Trade well my friends
and wish you all a relaxed weekend
apr.19th,2015 Update with new functions:
If you set enableCloseAllButton to true (like it is OOTB) you see new a red "CloseALL" Button, just hit this button and the APTM will close all open positions. ATTENTION there is no confirm asked for this operation it is a one click close all. NotDeletePendingOrdersWithCloseAll setting this to true, theAPTM will not delete the pending orders.

As always the update build 213 is attached to the first post, there is too a little fix avoiding incompatibilities if useres use MoveSLOnlyIfWin=false added.

The first who tried it in former times to use buttons on charts were 7Bit at FF,
followed by fxtr51.
Maybe Empty4 will actually provide more possibilities to deal with.
We will see, I`m stand by …

The new Empty4 has much more advanced possibilities to deal with buttons, than former versions, you will see, the new HPEA will too come with one click set of pending order technics.., if you do not like the CloseALL button just set enableCloseAllButton=false ...
After PC = 10 pips in profit, the EA should lock SL at BE = OpenPrice + 4 pips. Distance 5 pips to actual price. It does not perform.
That makes me confuse, because I tried already different settings.
Please refer to the attached set-file. Not for use for the followers.
