If you read the start of the Pipcruiser thread (no steriods) there were some tests done like this, one of the results was no Monday trading. There might be something there. Now that you mention it, let us know what else you find because we now have lots of accounts and history to examine.

An interesting exercise is to go to a monthly chart and pull a vertical line over the recent candles so you can see easily where they opened, then change to the weekly. You will often see a reverse in the last week of the month, of the direction the monthly had previously taken. The monthly candle will show up or down, and hide this reversal in the last week.

I had not thought about this; it could be that we should not trade after about the 20th.

Sorry for the double posting, but I didn't get an answer to this on the "PPoS 4H trading" thread. People have probably stopped going there now that Zennor has left. Here it is again:

I have PPoS v1h on H4 on two GP accounts, with the same settings except that one has TradeMonday=true, and the other has TradeMonday=false.

Once Tuesday began (broker time), the platform with TradeMonday=true opened pending trades on MANY more pairs than the platform with TradeMonday=false. I thought both platforms would trade the same on Tuesdays.

I don't understand why there would be any difference in the trades placed on Tuesdays. It doesn't look as though the TradeMonday=false platform can't see the Monday price action, since the on-screen displays show the same, e.g., on euraud, they both showed W1=up, D1 is down, H4 is up, We cannot trade this candle. Yet on the platform with TradeMonday=true, pending orders were set at a few seconds after Tuesday started.

Can anyone help me to understand why there is this difference? Thanks.

Good to see your results for a longer period ! AND: yours reflect an important and characteristic feature of the PP/PPoS bots nearly all off us actually have. The point is: this EA is definitely a winner + it is safe !! BUT: we have to wait weeks on end bevor going up again after long lasting DD's !
Take a look at the ZP (Zennor's Piproid) as the logical sequel of the PP/PPoS: it's a better, may be the best, choice, by a long shot !

Hmmm in the case of real money I personally would close all of them and wait what will happen tomorrow in the UK ...

My friend ! The EA is good, and yea you may trust in it ! No doubt ! BUT: you cant trust in the unpredictable markets - never ever !

So even if you have a "fine" EA you trust in - remember the rule: the worst thing that may happen in this crazy FX market will happen sooner or later - for sure !
