Hello guys

Last night I was in EU LONG, EC LONG, and GBPCHF SHORT. As you can see in the charts all of these became huge winners. Problem is I was stopped out before I got a chance to enjoy the ride. Anyone have any recommendations for where to place a stop loss? Or do you guys not place one at all for that very purpose? Im thinking about going forward with a fixed stop loss of 30 pips but not placing it on my chart. Instead I will allow the stop hunt to happen even if it goes past my 30 pip stop loss limit. Reason I need that stop loss of 30 pips is to help determine lot size using 2% risk. Or anyone else have something else that works for them regarding stop loss or determining lot size?

Thanks in advance

You may wait for the pair to go near the H1/H4 previous pins, and then open your trade(s). EURUSD was a good example today, please take a look at the blue line. Now I am waiting for it to go back to 1.1070-1.1040 to buy it.

Hi desibaba, i am also facing the stop loss problem like u, but i advocate always using one, the reason being u dont want to suffer great loss when u are mastering this, and always keep higher tf in mind so that u know where is the place that stophunt is likely to occur, and also when trading level to level i like to give myself some space and use a wider stop loss as i dont know how wide the fox are going to spread the range, better be slower and profitable than getting stop out too frequently, but enter in the lowest pin is always good.

I am also learning too

Thanks for the help guys

I will try to sit on my hands and only enter closer to pins (I get excited very quickly). And my stop loss will just have to be wider.

Guess its time to hit the reset button and try to earn pips slow and steady :)

Below is a USDJPY m15 chart.

It looks like it completed level 1 down and is now retracing.

My question is, what would be the better place to enter a stop order to go short for the level 2 push. Will it be the higher redline or the lower redline. But are at decent resistance points drawn from the h1/h4.

I don't know about that. Don't take my opinion for granted but looking at the higher timeframes makes me think a lot of shorts might be trapped already.
