Fxe you are posting the EA results. Are you manually opening the trades with the EAs help or something?

Yes, I'm using an HGBnG to help open the trades. Once I identify price is in a potential turning area I put the EA on the chart and set it to trade only long or short, and open a grid set to Stop and Limit. The EA closed the UC trade, but I closed the NJ manually this morning. Still early on and lots of experimenting and tweaks needed.

2 day result with alot of manual intervention on the close. EN closed on it's own, unsure of exactly why.

Found really hard to trading M15, first of all it takes almost all day to display online or a mobile version all signals, after changed parameters of CurrencySlope to H1 and HGI to show only TrendAlerts, success rate increase about 10/15%.
Visually +35/40% positive trades and -60%/above negative trades (witch are pretty good for me) but it eat all my time(including half of night current time +8GTM )
Decided to stop on M15 .
----------
Start new experiments on H1 Timeframe :
Sixths set to = 228
HGI = shows ONLY TrendAlerts,
CurrencySlope set to = H4 + extra D1
Semafor set to = default parameters.
+ General Monthly trend... and of course initial trading method/model of this tread.
----------

Any suggestion on H1 TimeFrame are welcome :good:

Hi Manfloy

IMO this combination of indi's method is not very well suited to a scalping or a short TF trading approach ;) . The reason is short TF traders don't really need to know pair price ranges. They are looking to exploit short (sometimes very short) term price momentum, getting in and out quickly. In that context the 6ths does not add materially to what they can see at the far right price action end of their charts.

Also as HGI trades in the here and now, a signal can be given to go one way and then reversed before you've had time to press F9

I trade all TF's from H1 to MN and consider myself a swing / position trader prepared to take a trade and sit on it all the way up and down the grid.

That's clearly not the only way to trade this method, but that style allows time for trades to evolve and develop. Also using the 6ths intervals as mental or hard stop loss and trailing stop levels gives price a lot of freedom to do it's thing without taking you out.

Last week for instance trading 0.01 lots only I had an overall win rate of 65%. I took 897 pips. On D1 my win rate was 66%, on H4 50% and H1 83%. None of my W1 or MN trades closed. On average my minimum trade holding period is about 2 days and my maximum can be the full month

Your new experiment will reveal new things to you which perhaps you will share with us in due course.

Thanks

Charles

Hi Fxe3

Thank you for sharing your result.

Why do you use HGBnG for Sixths method?
HGBnG is better than HGB sixths for your purpose ?

HGBnG uses HGI as the criteria to fire off trades, so yes it works better for the initial entry for my purpose.

Thanks for sharing this strategy and the SIXTHS Dashboard SQ.mq4 indicator.
but i have a request, could someone please modify this indicator to make the timeframe as an external input?
so that i can attach this indicator with several timeframes on a single chart, instead now i have to use several charts to show this indicator in different timeframes.
Thanks in advance!
