Recently I have focused my attention on trading Range and Trend market conditions independently on the same account with a view to reducing overall draw down and maximizing profit.

Rather than trying to make one EA do the impossible I thought why not find the best for each. After all if we were given the task of putting together the best home sound system we probably wouldn't choose the same brand speakers, amplifier and CD player, we would choose the best brands independently.

I am bringing together my three favorite EA's which have been developed here at SHF:
HGBnG on M5 to handle directional moves
RnR to maximize profit from every range
GridMaster to add an extra offsetting option working one level higher than RnR and HGBnG

SERIOUS WARNING

These are not set-and-forget ea; there is no such thing and anyone who tries to claim there is, is either stupid or lying. These EA requires frequent manual intervention.
At best, a trading robot is only 90% as good as the manual strategy it trades. At best. At worst, it can be much less effective. If the strategy is rubbish, so is the robot.

Lot size of 0.01 RnR and 0.05 HGBnG per 5000+ account size
GridMaster (HGBnG + RnR) 5 pip grid

It seems that the 'common' tab needs to be set manually to 'Only Long' or 'Only Short' on the HGBnG, certainly on my platform unless I am missing something in the settings tab

Good catch.. yes I will add this note to post 1. It's also worth knowing that there will be error messages as a result of managing the EA this way too.. I am sure this can be sorted when Steve has a chance so that we can have a dedicated buy only and sell only version perhaps.

we have those parameters already in line 208 and 209:

bool    TradeLong=true;
bool    TradeShort=true;

You could post two different EAs accordingly.

EDIT: Or even better, make them extern and include the values in the settings files.

I will make sure that the various incarnations of RnR have trade direction control before the markets open tonight.

I have added the usual TradeLong/Short inputs to RnR and RnR.EXP. Vp and 1d respectively.

the swap filters for CAD,AUD,NZD in TradeDirectionBySwap() could override the global trade direction control by re-enabling trade directions. Is this intended?

Surely a very seldom used feature and no relevance for TrendRangeCombo, I just stumbled upon.
