BALUDA'S SUPER CSS-2.0. THE SIMPLEST TRADING SYSTEM EVER

Post by Geko »

Hi guys,

Here is a quick dashboard which can help you to monitor CSS crosses on multiple pairs:
2016-09-21_1238.png
Blue color = ADR values
Green color = CSS up for the pair
Light green color = CSS cross up occur
Red color = CSS down for the pair
Orange color = CSS cross down occur

Edit: Instead of Red color you can use Marron it makes it more readable

Dashboard settings are really straight forward.

A click on the pair label will open the chart of the selected pair, you can specify the templates in the DB settings.

Dashboard is movable anywhere on your screen.
01 - Click to select the dashboard (a little square will appear in the top left corner)
02 - Let shift keyboard button and left mouse clicked and drag and drop the DB where you want.
03 – Unselect the dashboard to make sure display is correct

The file comes as a compiled file as I am using some helpers (mqh) to code.

For coders, attached is also a CSS indicator which allow iCustom call.

Code: Select all

CSS_Buffer = iCustom (Symbol(), Timeframe, "CSS.iCustom.ex4", CSS_SlopeMAPeriod, CSS_SlopeATRPeriod, 8, 0);
That’s it for coding here, I am going to monitor now.

Today's 1.5% profit hit without any traumas. DD stayed below 4%.

Results after 4 days of trading.

Still far too early to make any analysis on which pairs to trade. Will start looking when I have over 100 trades per pair. Could be that trading all pairs is the way to go..

Just closed out tonight's London Open basket with a 1.5% profit. :)

Zennor, did you trade as per your original plan and if so what was your draw down and did you hit your target? I was very uncomfortable when it hit 13% draw down. The market was very volatile at the open which I alluded to in my earlier post. I am not sure I would have traded it if it were a live account but wanted to test this system out. It worked out in the end but I was thinking it was too far gone and with FOMC later on... :uff: I am pretty sure your method would have avoided the initial draw down. I am thinking that may be a wise move. Another possibility is to start trading the 11am (global prime) candle an hour after open???

Survived to live another day

Just saw your post. Wow - look at the difference in drawdown

Keith I have never seen such a Draw Down, what SL are you using? As previously mentioned my account never went below 4% DD which is why I suspect your SL or Lot allocation is too large.

I also saw a large DD on the London open and by Large I mean nearly 4% but as the trades were made during the morning building up a number of locked in profits and pairs in low profits just waiting for the move which eventually came and closed out the basket.

Edit: Ah after reading your post I suspect that you have gone Gertje's route of trading taking every candle on the London open.. Not really a fan of that because... Well just look at todays charts on the London open, look how many candles reversed after the first hour.. Ouch now I know why you saw such a draw down..

I'm all for the slow approach, if I have to trade a few hours more to hit my TP then I'm happy with that so long as my DD remains low...

Closed my basket as well.

I had a hard feeling about today, because I missed 2 candles to enter on, and thus missed the start of the retrace of the JPY.

All in all it worked out, 140 trades closed for profit.
Global Prime - Empty4 4.png
Yesterday I felt bored after the basket closed, I'm used to the action of trading all day.
I'm sure I can get used to free afternoons......

I am setting my lots using a trade manager EA. 1% for 2 x H1 ATR(20). I have just re-read your original post and see that you are using Daily range!!! Haha. That's what demo is for

Mine were AUDUSD 0.46, EURUSD 0.46 , GBPUSD 0.25, NZDUSD 0.38, USDCHF 0.45, USDCAD 0.33, USDJPY 0.19

Zennor,

Keith uses 0.3 lots for a 10K account..... Hence the DD.
My DD was 4.1% at the max today.
