Anyone else experiencing big DD with AWESOMESS? GBPJPY and GPBCHF mainly

This has been discussed before and especially GBPJPY is a poor performer please read the thread again around page 22 on, hope this helps.

Im not sure if ive found a bug...

Using version 1d with fill the gap settings set to 4 and gap 60 these trades were generated today

As you can see there are 5 trades and 2 were placed at exactly the same price and time 07.18.2018 01:46, so is this the correct behavior?

Also I would like to beg you coders for another feature request, at the moment we can close trades for a symbol when the % drawdown is hit which is working as planned. I would also like to request if any individual trade hits the % drawdown target it is individually closed leaving other trades of that symbol alone unless they also reach the target, at which point they would also be closed.

Update on testing.... I am making significant progress on the occasional drawdown issue

Awesome is a highly complicated bot. Coders here are scattering to the four winds to avoid getting involved. I do not blame them.

Then you presented your own version.

Then you asked me to create a further version of your own version. Guess what, but I cannot even remember which one that was.

Now there appears to be three versions in post 1. I defy anyone visiting here for the first time to work out which version they should be running.

Wouldn't care to sort this thread out would you? You will not enjoy the experience if I have to do it for you.

Your absolutely correct and I humbly apologise, hopefully I can make make things a little clearer. In my defence I previously added some notes to the downloads in post 1 to try and keep things on track (hasnt worked )

Version 1b is Letsarbs original Awesome + SS
Version 1c is your contribution "Modified by SH fixed dollup code and addded 4SS"
Version 1d is Isabek's additions to 1c as described here http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 57#p162554

So the latest version and the one I recommend to use is version 1d which is your contribution with the added code by Isabek. I havent deleted the previous versions as some people may still use them, possibly a mistake.

Any help you can give in clearing up the code and/or the thread would be most welcome you have the experience and knowledge, and its your forum afterall and I dont want to mess it up.

where can in the settings can i make the distance of the stop a bit bigger? or perhaps no pending/limit orders at all?

Testing update...

Everything heading in the right direction I had good profits on all 4 of my Awesome+SS demo test accounts last week when my SPB test went to -38% DD (hopefully will recover this week). Not ready to settle on which version and setfile(s) to use but I can give you one definite no no, which is don't use any stop loss strategy, it kills the account :youknow:

Will hopefully rejoin FXTestify shortly with some fixed killer setups to challenge SPB

I would suggest you start here viewtopic.php?f=102&t=5232 where the basic manual lies and then follow the various threads to understand the variants. This particular flavour has Baludas SuperSlope(s) added as a trigger for trading, as described in post 1 and throughout the thread.

Too early for any solid conclusions (or for that matter adding to FXTestify), but I have arrived at some settings which I think are important. I am currently testing 4 versions with interesting and varying results. Btw my SPB test failed completely today probably due to the low starting balance .

However on the brighter side, all my AwesomeSS experiments made good profits.

You will note all are using version 1c, which is the one Steve Hopwood kindly provided. Many thanks to Isabek for version 1d which allowed me to prove beyond doubt not to use stop losses! Unless that is you quickly want to loose all your money :hi:

Here are the various settings I have used...

Version 1a has the GBPJPY problem but still posts healthy profits each day and has limited DD to around 12% so far. This should mean you can bank money while you wait for the bad pair(s) to recover.

Version 1c seems to be performing well 1.74% per day with pretty low DD

More news to follow when I have it.....

A thing i notice that should help with profits and also drawdowns is the following.
When a certain money unit like for instance the AUD is getting stronger- etc aud/chf, aud/jpy, aud/usd is all going up currently on my demo.They all currently buy stops.
The problem is that aud/nzd has sell stops and has already taken some of them ,thus pulling back our profits.
(BASKETTRADING)
Is it possible that we can ad a future that we can manually stop the bot on that specific pair/s that pulls our
overall profits down ,the bot will not trade unless you put that pair/s back to true.
This future should also help to when we see before it start to take the trades .
