Read the effing manual, ok?

Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.

Good for you!
Unfortunately (with frustration) I can't tell the same about my account which follows the same conditions with the same setfile.
(http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 02#p159502)

I don't know why, but my account does not open same trades as yours.

For example, I have the most updated version, with recovery code lines for all trades/TF's but EA ignores recovery.
But this is not the only issue. Initial trades opened where Sixth is not close at all.

Any help (in private, if it helps to keep forum's rules) is appreciated.

Are you using the latest version or the version Gertje is using? He isn't using the latest version.

I use 2 different versions on 2 different platforms - 1e and 1l. Both do not imitate his trades.

I'm using the same version [1e] on 2 different platforms, and sometimes I don't get the same trades as well.

To show what I'm doing, here is my AUDJPY chart with closed trades plotted on it.
AUDJPYH4.png
I wait for PoS to open a initial trade on any pair , TP @ 6th.
This trade stays open untill the TP @ 6th is reached.

Then depending on what group [divided by 6th distance] the pair is, I place pending orders at the same distance as the 'fill the gap" inputs do, so every 25, 50, 75 or 100 pips.
On these pendings, the TP is the same as the distance between them.
So as soon as the first added order reaches TP, the next one opens.
[To make my live easier, I smuggle a little with the first added pending and put it on a round number. Sometimes I don't even wait for PoS to fire the first trade, and put an initial pending in myself at a round number when price is around the tradeline.]

Immediately after the first one closed in profit, Reneexxx's EA "trade duplicator" puts a limitorder in place with exactly the same specs as the one that just closed.

Should a trade go against me, the recovery fires another trade, which I sometimes change the TP to the 'usuall" number for that pair.

This goes on and on and on, untill the price goes above the green 6th line, and I'm waiting for it to reach the opposite side to start the fun at the other side.

Well understood.
Can it be implemented to PoS EA?

Can you post up your set files again please?
I think I modified the last ones I downloaded as I had a smaller account and didn't keep an original
I don't think the one on the first page is correct

Like your new idea, basically gird trading (without stacking) at the 6th.

Hi Gertje,

After you first mentioned this method a while ago I gave it a shot. I came across the following issue.
  • Initial trade is placed by POS
  • Price goes towards the 6th, taking profit on the manual orders along the way
  • The last manual order does not reach TP, price reverses, recovery kicks in, and places a new trade at the same spot as the auto trade by POS
  • You have now effectively doubled your lot size and risk on that trade. How do you deal with this?
From how I understand it you said you have limit orders on the way down too, potentially making your risk 2,3,4,5+ times as high if price comes back down. On something like the recent NZD run for example, I think this could be too much. Thoughts?
